Sorry, this is just a pipe dream among a select few people. Carson will not be the ‘Pub nominee nor elected POTUS in 2016. He won’t be the Veep on any ticket. And it doesn’t matter how conservative is Carson — and there’s debate — the nation is fatigued by the 2nd black president (after Bubba), and won’t choose another, back-to-back. And that’s not “racist,” just the truth.

I think you may be correct. Another way to look at it is, how many presidents from Arkansas or Georgia have we had since Clinton and Carter?
Doesn’t Carson support amnesty and/or a kinder gentler way to deal with illegal aliens?
I seem to remember something along those lines.
If the above is true, then no, most real conservatives will reject him.
Also I hope Santorum doesn't try again, please his time is over, it will never happen. Ditto that Newt and Huckabee, at this point if they run it is all about Ego.
IMHO our best shot is Scott Walker. As much as I like Ted Cruz, the Senate is a horrible farm team field for POTUS candidates, ditto that Rand Paul.
Did you know that there are powerful people at the top of the GOP who choose our candidates for us? Talk to people who have been to the RNC conventions. The year they nominated G Ford, EVERYONE at the convention wanted REAGAN!
My friend was there with her son and he had a poster about REAGAN. Her son was only 8. They refused to let posters in for anyone other than FORD at that convention. So John rolled his poster up and had stuff about just the RNC etc on one side. they didn’t see the other side all about REAGAN!
But this is how the party is run, people at the top choose the candidates for us. We were SO LUCKY AND BLESSED to get REAGAN.
and this is why we need the TEA PARTY! The GOP is no longer conservative. The GOP is DEMOCRAT LITE
Both parties are marching USA toward Communism/Socialism/Progressivism...
The Democrats will just get us there faster....

Ben Carson may be a great guy, but I’d really like to see him actually lead a county or state before he runs for President of the United States. You know, I’m conservative and I’ve had a long and successful non-political career. Maybe I should run for president, too?
Sorry, but I can’t take this particular campaign seriously. In the old days (before Barack) people actually had to work their way up before running for the highest political office in the land. How do I know Ben would even lead the country toward conservatism? Because he says so?
That's the tragedy. The GOPe is lining up behind Jeb. We might get lucky with a Christy candidacy to split the RINO vote. But again, our side is getting crowded with Cruz, Walker, Carson, Paul and probably more.
I prefer Cruz to Walker. Cruz is a once-in-a-lifetime conservative intellect. While Reagan was a governor, so were GW, Clinton, Dukakis, and Carter.
I think Rush called Scott Walker a true rising star in the GOP
Carson will be the next Surgeon General of the United States and a powerful voice for freedom around the world.
