The focus is on Dr Carson. The focus should be what is behind the curtain.

He has money and serious support from what I believe is a consortium of a major corporate consortium that has had it with Obamacare and Obama in general.

That consortium is able to get things done. The first was to get the man introduced by Fox News. Now he will appear on ABC with what will be a rework of his movie produced some years back.

There is far more here than what appears on the surface

....But this is how the party is run, people at the top choose the candidates for us. We were SO LUCKY AND BLESSED to get REAGAN.... and this is why we need the TEA PARTY! The GOP is no longer conservative. The GOP is DEMOCRAT LITE

Buyllshit! We now live in the era of the web. The New Media. We can do pretty much whatever we want! We just have to get up off our dead asses and do it!

Nothing stops us from nominating a Ted Cruz or the equivalent we just have to do it.

But at the same time we have to respect the process. The process is to get behind a single candidate and fund him support him/her to the point where no one else will dare get into the fray.

Once again we have not done that so we almost already know what to expect.

no way will i vote for a black man - soured on Obama - from rags to riches. Even if he is a republican. Did not vote for obama, had to hold my nose for Romney and Mccain. Get someone whom does not want to be recognized by the book they authored, so they can sell it during the campaign trail. Why not Gov. Scott Walker? or Gov. Rick Synder - examples of Governors whom went against the establishment and are striving to improve their own state. Do not want someone whom only wants to benefit their own wallet.

The thread is about fox cutting the tie, only one person mentions this in the thread. (It is all about Carson, not the tie). So why the “cut” from Fox?

I strongly disagree.

Can you say Senator Tim Scott and Mia Love? They are both black Republicans that got elected.

How do you explain that???

Twister - I agree with your sentiments.

I don’t think America is going to be ready for another black president for a long time. The Dems and Obama screwed it up for others to follow. And it won’t happen for a LONG, LONG time, IMHO.

Carson is a refreshing change from the status quo. "You have to have this, you have to have that",why not someone who can think on his feet and wants to be a citizen legislator/leader for a while. Although a Cruz Walker ticket would probably win.

If you have an open mind there are numerous candidates we could get behind.Trick is if we don'[t do it soon the GOPe will do it for us.

Great stuff. If you have more don’t hold back. Busting apart obamacare would not be a bad thing at all! Trick is you need a plan that will be popular to replace it.

Seems it’s SOP to get rid of potential potus candidates over at FNC evidently they have done it before.

I would vote for Carson, Walker, Cruz or Paul if ANY of these guys get the nomination. There is NOTHING politically speaking that would be enough for me not to vote for them over Hillary Clinton.

However, if Jeb or Christie gets the nomination, then I will most likely vote 3rd party. Yes I cannot stand another Bush, Clinton or Christie.

NO FREAKING WAY!!!!

Why the cut? Because it looks like Carson is throwing his hat into the ring and Fox allegedly doesn’t want to seem like it’s supporting one candidate over any other. As the article points out, Fox has done the same with other contributors once they make a run for office.

It’s all horse manure of course because Fox slobbered all over Romney even before the first primary. The channel gets its orders from multiple sources including Karl Rove and the liberal Republican elite.

I like Bem Carson. But being a fabulous brain surgeon does not imply that you know jack about managing an organization. Where is the executive experience? This just becomes a Republican exercise in Hope and Change. Because we will be hoping he can do the job without having any idea if he can. Run for something else, first, Ben.

Never say never........

Dr Ben came here at the invitation of a very significant corporation. He spoke in their auditorium. Folks came from miles around to hear him. The crowd was far beyond capacity.

His message and his delivery is quite compelling. The crowd, including me, lapped it up.

Personally I prefer a governor for the job of presidency. The problem is going to be putting forth such a candidate with more charisma than the good Doctor. Run of the mill conservatives, the GOPc, will find his manner and message very persuasive.

Because this is the 21st century and not the 18th. The presidency is not a job for amateurs, as the last 6 years have shown.

Although a Cruz Walker ticket would probably win.

A Cruz/Fallin ticket would be better. IMHO.

If you have an open mind there are numerous candidates we could get behind.Trick is if we don'[t do it soon the GOPe will do it for us.

Having people like Carson, filled with hubris, running with zero chance of winning will only dilute the conservative vote and make the chance of someone like Bush or Cristie winning more likely.

Romney wasn't on the payroll.

Sentimentality over substance.

Just like Santorum in 2012.

We go Cruz or we might as well stop wasting bandwith.

Then Rush needs to be educated on Walker’s views of amnesty and open borders.

(But Walker is a great governor.)

Interesting that you bring up Fallin, and curious that she doesn’t get more consideration in her own right.

Almost any doc is a leader. Try running a code blue in the absolute zoo that responds to the overhead call in a hospital, and you quickly find out how to cut to the chase, use your people that respond in an efficient manner, be heard over the chaos, and direct people in the task they need to do.
A doc is a leader, and directing a huge OR team in the middle of a complex surgery while you focus entirely on your task at hand is not easy. The only question is is he the kind of leader we want.

Fortunately, the exit polls last week showed that America agrees with you—each of them had less than 30% support for the presidency.
