Hey come on. If you saw a county map of the state the huge majority of voters in the rural ranch and timber lands are bright red. Notice how the blue is only along the coast, in all three states.
There are a bunch of conservatives in Oregon. My county elected a conservative tax assessor, a county sheriff (the teaparty group sent our Sheriff to the Constitutional Sheriffs convention and he went happily) and we have a new 30 year old "teaparty" Oregonian we elected to the state house!
But we still can't harvest our crop of trees or build on our 80 acre parcels.
