Radio host Rush Limbaugh has threatened to sue the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee (DCCC) for defamation, The Daily Caller has learned.
Limbaugh retained the services of lawyer Patty Glaser and demanded that the DCCC preserve all records in anticipation of a lawsuit for defamation and interference after the Democratic Party group led a campaign against Limbaugh based on out-of-context statements the host made about sexual assault. Limbaughs legal team delivered a letter to DCCC representatives Monday informing them of the legal threat. Limbaugh has also demanded a public retraction and apology.
The Limbaugh team is currently proceeding from the standpoint of litigating and has not yet made a decision as to whether the DCCC could make any concessions at this point to prevent the lawsuit.
The DCCC has intentionally disseminated demonstrably false statements concerning Rush Limbaugh in a concerted effort to harm Mr. Limbaugh, and with reckless disregard for the resulting impact to small businesses across America that choose to advertise on his radio program according to the GlaserWeil law firms letter to the DCCC, which was obtained by TheDC. Mr. Limbaugh clearly, unambiguously, and emphatically condemned the notion that no means yes.
Lets be clear: Rush Limbaugh is advocating for the tolerance of rape the DCCC stated in a September fundraising email after Limbaugh mocked Ohio States new mandatory sexual consent guidelines.

Is that old windbag still on the air ?Our resident DCCC member chimes in.
To my knowledge, Maureen O’Hara and Mary Tyler-Moore are the only public figures who have ever successfully won a libel suit.
But this is worth it just for the expense and the nuisance value caused to the Dems. Go Rush!
not MTM, Carol Burnett. Sorry.
What did Limbaugh actually say, and what did the Democrats say that he said?
For the idiots at DU reading this, what this means is this: YOU CANNOT LIE ABOUT WHAT SOMEONE SAID AND USE THAT STATEMENT TO SPREAD FUD and claim it to be "Free Speech" or "Protected Speech" because the target is a public figure.
I don't listen to Rush very often (I happen to be today because I'm off from work for the day) but I hope he burns the Democrat Party, the DCC and every single financial contributor to the DCC to the ground.
That would be justice.
In summary, the Democrats took one of Rush's statements about rape and made it appear he approved of rape and added "no means yes" to his statement.
Rush is actually on record as saying "no means no!"
The Democrats used their "Rush approves of rape" lie during a number of congressional campaigns, sending out letters, flyers and emails with that statement in it.
Presumably, Rush and his lawyers have evidence (copies of emails, fliers, campaign fundraising letters) with the statement in it and are going ahead with a lawsuit against the DCCC.
I personally think Rush should ALSO sue any Candidates who used those letters, emails' etc.. as part of their campaigns AND should be suing anyone who contributed to the DCCC for good measure.
Popcorn. Need popcorn.
Hooray for Rush! He’s tolerated MSM Demorats etc distortion of his words way too long! Sue the Holy Crap out of them!
Go get ‘em Rush! Woot!
Ha...and across state line.....multiple players...
Mr RICO....Pick up the red phone ....
Yep. Don’cha love it?
This might get interesting...
I’m sure it wasn’t rape rape.
