Give us in the rest of the country a chance.

Who is the democrat/liberal/socialist?

Who is challenging the election - let me guess: The democrat/liberal/socialist - right?

A rather content-free news article with no identification of who these people are! Out of curiosity I discovered Ose is the Republican, Bera is the Democrat. Ose has a slim lead but this is California so probably not wise to be optimistic of an upset of a leftist incumbent.

If Bera wins, it is fraud. He was behind by several thousand votes.

I’ve monitored dozens of absentee counts and recounts in Sacramento County since the 1990s. Way, way too many flip to the Dem at the end under suspicious circumstances, especially in recent years. The registrar is a decent lady but she has people on the inside screwing with the close balloting. One of these days it’s going to come to a head. Ose is a gazillionaire, I hope he’ll put in the resources to fight this one.

This is how they’ll do it in Alaska’s Senate race, too. Keep counting until the dem takes the lead.

I’m not too optimistic about a couple of house races- this one and McSally, but I do think Sullivan will hang on.
From what I’ve read, the elections division in Alaska is pretty good.
The lack of information is really evidence that they have locked down the votes to make sure “missing” boxes don’t turn up, etc.
Recall MN in 2008 where there were continual reports in the few days after the election of votes just turning up- car trunks, and all kinds of obvious BS.
I really don’t think they can do that in Alaska.
Evidently they actually cross reference absentee ballots with registration records.
Both sides are watching the mail in votes carefully.
And at least two Alaskan media outlets have said BigItch is hanging on to numbers that just aren’t there.
The fact is that there are votes coming in from all over the state to be counted.
If Sullivan was only ahead by 2-3,000 I would be nervous.
But in Alaska, an 8,000 vote election night lead (especially in a mid term) is hard to overcome.
That said, I wouldn’t rest one second if I were on the Sullivan team.

“If Bera wins, it is fraud. He was behind by several thousand votes.”....

The car carrying the bag with the Bera votes seemingly has broken down and is awaiting repairs. Be patient, the vote will swing Bera’s way as soon as the new carburetor arrives.
