Such an "independent," that Angus King. Nancy Pelosi couldn't have performed a more partisan hack job of defending Obamacare and attacking those who dare question it.
Things got ugly on today's Fox & Friends. The show ran the clip [that NB's P.J. Gladnick uncovered and that few in the MSM have aired] of Obamacare architect Jonathan Gruber admitting that the bill's drafters had deliberately deceived the CBO as to the costs of the program, and relied on the "stupidity" of voters to push it through. King claimed he had never heard of Gruber, jabbed his finger while instructing the Fox & Friends hosts "don't lecture me," and accused them of being "cruel" for raising questions about Obamacare.

Gruber who? THIS is who (found in 10 minutes on the Internet by a stupid American voter):

This is the guy that some had hoped/deluded themselves to believe would caucus with the Republicans? Seriously?
The only good thing that came out of this interview was that he said he would caucus with the RATS. We sure don’t want him with the Republicans.
The name Portland, Oregon was decided on a coin flip, so the story goes.
A guy from Boston, Mass., and a guy from Portland, Maine flipped a coin. The guy from Maine won the coin toss.
Angus King said he would continue to caucus with the dems.
Well, your friends from Philly must have been disappointed.
Our conservative TEA Party governor, Paul LePage, won re-election last Tuesday.
Bruce Poliquin, a GOP conservative, won the 2nd Congressional District, which is the largest district in area east of the Mississippi River. It covers 80% of the state.
The GOP won control of the Maine Senate, and increased their numbers in the Maine House.
Maine is one of the strongest 2nd Amendment states in the country. We have open carry.
Last year, there was a bill in Augusta which would have eliminated the need for a permit in order to conceal carry.
It failed by one vote. A Republican lawmaker voted no, because she wanted people to have the mandatory firearms classes that go with a conceal carry permit. Supporters of the permit elimination vowed to try again.
Gov. LePage said he wants Maine to be a “Right to Work” state. He is going to try and push that through.
The liberal-most area is in and around Portland, and many of the coastal areas. Most states have their share of libs, and Maine is no exception.
I just watched the clip. Fox & Friends did nothing wrong—they in fact called the bureaucrat hack AND the Senator on the carpet for lying or endorsing lying in the passage of the bill.
Anus King stinks.
Well, we elected and re-elected Paul LePage, a TEA Party conservative, as governor, and flipped an open dem seat in the House when Bruce Poliquin, a GOP conservative, won the Second District Congressional seat last Tuesday.
The GOP also won control of the Maine Senate, and increased their numbers in the Maine House.
Angus King won in 2012 for a number of reasons, the biggest being name recognition. He was an “independent” governor who had two terms in the 1990’s. His first term wasn’t that bad, his second term was a suckfest.
His dem opponent in 2012 was a state senator named Cynthia Dill. I’ve been here for twenty-five years and I never heard of her. The GOP guy was Maine’s then Secretary of State, Charlie Summers. He ran a weak campaign, said he would “reach across” the aisle, etc. No wonder King won.
I held my nose and voted for Summers.
Also, Mikey Bloomturd gave King $450,000 for his Senate run.
Not everyone in Maine is down with the likes of Angus King.
Personally, I can’t stand the guy.
It would be a shame if protestors gathered outside Skippy’s house Gloucester.
>> Maine is one of the strongest 2nd Amendment states in the country. <<
Yes, but not necessarily indicative of a satisfactory political culture. Consider this:
Vermont is even stronger on the 2A. Yet their Senatorial delegation consists of SELF-AVOWED SOCIALIST Bernie Sanders, plus the equally leftwing Patrick “Leaky” Leahy. Go figure!
I apoligize if I offended you........but this guy Angus King is the poster boy for a living buffoon. And....yes, you are right on the money, the state of Maine had a much better year, politically, for we the “right guys, patriots and true Americans”!!! Sorry....for my rant on you folks in Maine. I’ll keep my big yap shut, until I cool down!!!
Hey, no problem. You didn’t offend me. A great many men and women gave their lives so we can have freedom of speech. That being said, I can barely tolerate the liberals here in the State of Maine. Their incessant campaign commercials are now long gone, from both radio and TV. Thank God there are plenty of conservatives here, too.
Tom Steyer, the San Francisco billionaire tree hugger, poured a ton of money into Maine, especially the governor’s race. He wasted the $100 million he spent nationally. Fake out, Tommy!
I feel the same way about Angus King. I’m hoping our governor, when he’s term-limited in 2018, will challenge King for that Senate seat. I despise King. I didn’t even vote for Susan Collins....I did a write in for someone else. She didn’t need my vote....she received 68% of the vote statewide.
I am trying to remember how he made his first money. It was by getting regulations changed IIRC.
Thank you.
I don’t know about you but I had no say about this pos getting passed.
