Sure, all we need to do is provide the entire resources of Columbia hospital ICU to every ebola patent in Liberia

“early detection and isolation can stop the spread of the deadly virus”

Anyone with a smattering of common sense knows that.

What we are concerned about is situations where early detection and isolation are not done.

Glad that he recovered. I don’t think he was all that smart though, by not going into some quarantine before running all about in NYC; just because he feels comfortable that he did not become ill while assisting patients in another nation. His decision to had done so will be very costly.

This is a sure sign that the Ebola scare is over. That, and the fact that the elections were held last week, and they found out that people don’t really trust the Democrats to manage severe health crises.

Interesting to see if this doctor heads back to the Ebola front lines, or takes a pass from now on. Kind of like the leftist who has to start paying taxes.

Early detection and isolation — sure makes the case for strong quarantines, doesn’t it?

Remember, the doc lied repeatedly to authorities about his travels around NYC, they only found out about the subway/restaurant/bowling alley when they cross-checked his story against his credit card records.

So I really don’t think he should be offering his opinion about Ebola or anything, and should say “thank you” and I’m sorry I was such a self-involved idiot”.

What’s more is the fact that there is a failure to acknowledge if measures like remote sensing thermometers or fever checks work, like they didn’t for both this doctor as well as Duncan. And as it turns out, the “unprofessional” idea of quarantining people off the plane is a good idea.

And as it turns out, the “unprofessional” idea of quarantining people off the plane is a good idea.

If anything, this shows that quarantining people off the plane is an unnecessary idea. As awful a disease as Ebola is (and it is as bad as it gets), it is difficult to transmit, particularly in a first-world setting, with first-world sanitation and first-world medical care.

Appears... Right. So excuse me for being absurd. But precautions are a pretty good idea when you aren’t entirely sure.
