1. We are not The Establishment or RINOs, and you are not The Base. We are THE Republican Party founded in 1854. The Tea Party is a MOVEMENT that began inside our party sometime between 2007-2009, and if anyone must be referred to as a RINO, its the members of this movement, because they seemingly have a strong dislike for most of what occurs within our party.
In 1854, the Whigs that were against slavery didnt solve the problem by calling the others WINOs, they courageously founded the Republican Party. That is what a Republican does. We dont run our mouths, shut things down, and see how many problems we can cause. We find solutions, because we are honored when we look at the American flag and sing the National Anthem knowing that throughout history men and women fought and still fight for The United States of America, not The United States of our America!
2. You have convinced yourselves that your hard right agenda is what the American people want. Look, you had success in 2010, but surely by now you know why. Your full agenda had not been uncovered. Everyone thought you were just fiscal crusaders, period! Then once the layers of the onion started to unfold, your ideas left everyone in tears. Didnt these last primaries prove that the majority of the American people just arent interested in what you have to offer? They want things to get done in Washington.
We live in a country where people vote for all different kinds of candidates. The other side of the isle have just as much of a responsibility to their constituents as ours do to us. There has to be compromise. ...

Agreed and good post. I believe this piece is pure propaganda. To me, this type of article is rude to the reader because the author makes no mention of counter arguments or different points of view. Aside from being a stinking pile.
And the day that they repeal CommieCare, or make every last member of government subject to it (including the POS Obola and his family) in the exact same way as the rest of us are, is the day I’ll have a tiny iota of respect for them. I may even support them if they actually manage to get rid of it.
I don’t understand your obsession with O’Donnell.
“But to a lot of Republican voters, the Tea Party was a shotgun approach that lost them seats in Congress.”
There is a thing called rationality and that belief does not fall under rational.
Which means it is just an attack piece argument, meant only to gain ground in turf wars within the party.
I don’t believe for a minute the Republican leaders believe this. They propagate it to gain advantage.
That’s nonsense.
Knock off your lefty agent provocateur propaganda, pinko.
p.s., gfy twice
Want to dwell on the fact that the presidential candidates were a long line of crash and burn options. Herman Cain, Rick Perry, Newt Gingrich, and Rick Santorum were a serious set of failures in the fight for the nomination. We can try and deny that they were conservative after the fact, but much of conservativism was rooting for these guys. The POTUS candidates were a shotgun approach. If you read through the rest of my post(s) you would see that I mentioned Walker and Cruz, IMHO, they could own Romney if he came back, what say ye? Or are you just needing to blow some steam?
I’m not really following you.
I responded to the idea that the Tea Party cost seats in congress.
It was the Tea Party that brought the House back in to a Republican majority.
Actually in politics, I am more interested in taking the voters in the direction of what I want.
The vast majority don’t know what they want. Politics is a popularity contest, they want somebody smooth and slick.
Who is Becky Boydstun and why is this posted on FR?
Let’s post some conservative stuff to read. Is there any?
Know your enemy.
We know the enemy. That’s why FR exists.
FR is supposed to have conservative stuff we can’t find any place else.
The house in 2010, but a great deal of loss in both. I was a Delaware resident and watched tea party candidates bomb the election. 2014 was different overall. In PA where I now live, we have the most GOP senate since the 1950s, all thanks to a lot of seats in 2014. IMHO, the Tea Party was a 2012 disappointment in a lot of places, where candidates weren’t up to the competition.
Couldn’t have said it better.
FU Becky Boydstun you stunning idiot.
OMG, she’s so clueless. She really thinks NONE of that would have happened if Romney had won in 2012? She’s on drugs. I say ALL of that would have happened and Romney wouldn’t have done a thing to stop them.
You’re talking local Delaware races?
A Freudian SIP?
The reason it is posted so that we keep reminded of the mindset of many Republicans. These are the people that need to be replaced locally on the GOP committees.
