(CNSNews.com) – President Obama in Beijing on Wednesday declared far-reaching new targets for reducing U.S. greenhouse gas emissions, and for the first time, China agreed to cut its emissions of carbon dioxide and other gases blamed for climate change.

"This is an ambitious goal, but it is an achievable goal," Obama said. "It will double the pace at which we're reducing carbon pollution in the United States. It puts us on a path to achieving the deep emissions reductions by advanced economies that the scientific community says is necessary to prevent the most catastrophic effects of climate change."

BS

China likely is introducing pollution controls and the White Hut is co-opting Chinese efforts to reduce air particulates and using language that obfuscates

Hey, doesn’t a treaty need to be ratified by the Senate?

That's old fashioned regressive thinking from back when we still had a Constitution instead of an Idiot King.

“China promises to do something they need to do anyway, reduce pollution.”

Same old story - China, Russia and the Democratic Party promises one thing to obtain a concession. The US complies with the agreement, the other side doesn’t.

I will always remember George H.W. Bush finally giving in to Tip O’Neal and the DNC to raise taxes with their agreement to reduce spending by a significant amount. Bush signed off on the taxes too early because Tip and the DNC never intended to live up to the agreement, Instead they hung the sign, “No New Taxes” around his neck and Bush was let out of office.

Never agree to anything with the Chinese, Russian or Democrat, IMO. They will hang you out to dry.

Still six weeks from winter and all but six states will receive some snowfall in the coming week.
