Santorum has more street cred
Any wannabe who lost the last elective seat is not going to win the nomination for the presidency. They are, however, if conservative or pseudo-conservative, likely to siphon enough votes to ensure that the GOPelite's preference wins the nomination.
It comes down to this:
Do you want to win or do you want another bunch of also-rans who will only be footnotes in the Annals of Republican Presidential Primaries?

And yet he will have people on the right support him the moment he mentions Jesus in a throwaway line in some speech.
Don’t be stupid! You know their playbook to split our votes! Dont fall for it!!

And take the rest of the RINOS with him.

Conservative’s problem is that too many opt for sentimentality over substance.

Mike reprising his role of taking down the most authentic conservative candidate in the running.
I hope people aren't fooled this time.

We need ONE true conservative running against 3 establishment types instead of the other way around.
Yes.
Look at some of the recent election results.
NC -- Graham had 4 or 5 contenders in the primaries. He probably hired a couple of them to siphon off votes from the others. Winner: Graham. Probably because of name recognition. Trying to introduce 3 or 4 or 5 newbies to the public is difficult with limited resources.
Louisiana -- 2 Pubbies running against Landreau. Had one of them defaulted to the other, that election most likely would have been won on election day by the other Republican. Instead, we have a run-off, multitudes of out-of-state influence, and a greater potential for massive voter fraud that favors the Dem.
Arkansas -- sitting Rep (R) decided to challenge sitting Senator (D). Rep had little primary challenge and faced the Senator in the election. The Rep, Tom Cotton, won 57% to 39%, even though most polls showed it neck-and-neck just days before the election.
Conservatives need to select ONE good/solid/strong candidate against the political machine.

Needs repeating: Conservatives problem is that too many opt for sentimentality over substance.
2008 and 2012 demonstrate that.
And for 2016, we already have many throwing around names out of sentiment.
I chuckle at the 4-year Iowa caucus cycles. Excluding Republican incumbents, their results since 1976 have been right one time for the candidate who got elected president.

No Mike; wake up; do anything you want, other than another run for POTUS. You’d be doing yourself and everyone in the GOP a big favor, by not running.

So who’s paying the Huckster to drain votes from conservative candidates this time around?
Or is he just trying to stay relevant so he can continue his current gigs?

Megyn Kelly had him pegged. I’d bet dollars to donuts she uttered Huckabee’s Fox nickname offstage and it accidentally slipped on-air.
