Former President George W. Bush has a simple explanation for why he almost never criticizes his successor: He feels it undermines the office of the presidency.
In an interview that aired Thursday night on Fox News' "Hannity," Bush insisted he would not attack President Barack Obama even though he continued to have strong opinions about national politics.
"I don't think it's good for the country to have a former president undermine a current president; I think it's bad for the presidency for that matter," Bush said, according to video posted by Mediaite.

I disagree with many things GWB did, and I disagree with this. When you have a malevolent force like Obama, intentionally harming the nation, staying silent is not good for the country, nor is it wise.
I got his book on my i pad last night and while reading it my internal vocalizations were of his voice and cadence its a wonderful read so far I recommend it highly

About the only nice thing I can say about W anymore is that he was a good and credible CINC when our military needed one last decade.
And that he did everything he could to prevent Katrina’s effects, being blocked and refused by Blanco and Landrieu.
When Bush declined to defend his administration against charges raised by Obama himself, he was not acting out of high moral resolve or a deep sense of humility, he was hurting the nation.
The former president left, "Bush lied and people died" unanswered and we are answering in his place for his silence even to this day.

The very survival of the Republic is at stake with the current President acting as a despot. His unconstitutional actions will transform and destroy this country. Patriots should speak out, including former Presidents. Bush 41 and 43 have been disasters for the GOP and now they are touting Jeb to join this unholy triumvirate. A pox on the Bushes.
When he goes, Obama is going to be like Carter. He's going to run around meeting with every thug and leftist community organizer the world has to offer, saying stupid things and injecting himself in ever-more Trayvon Martin or Hamas Flotilla cases.

Obama undermines the office of the presidency. He’s a disgrace to America. I remember when we used to fight the damned communists (I was there). Now we have one squatting in the White house.
The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing.
I guess its good he respects the office but the downside to him constantly taking the high road and never criticizing or fighting back is that he got slammed over and over and over again in the press until his approval rating was toxic and Obama was able to blame everything on him. I guess its fine if he wants to be a punching bag but it was so bad that the press was able to tar “conservatism” with all of the things they blamed on Bush.
