I’ll bet the cashiers mother wished she knew how her kid was going to turn out too!
Would you believe it if I told the story of a snot nosed intern in the ER who urged us to sign a sign a DNR on our beloved father, who had a minor problem and lived for several more years before peacefully dying in his bed?
btw, the OP links to the blog of the mother. I am really curious why you think his story is implausible. This nation is FULL of people who believe and act exactly like this cashier.
Pretty glib story, I agree.
Did you READ the article that you are commenting on? The mother told the story in her blog and the LifeSite News is re-telling the story.
Response should have been, “Guess you mom wishes she had bought in to abortion on demand. BI**CH!”
I’m not. We have some friends that adopted two special needs children from the Ukraine. One has Downs and the other has some physical issues.
While there, they were taking the kids for a walk and received many, many pointed comments just like that from the locals.
That kind of horrific attitude is making its way here I’m sure.
For the record, my response would have probably ended with handcuffs.
As callous as people have become, I have no trouble believing her story. I'm surprised that you don't believe her. There are plenty of pro-abortion fans that will think it is their duty to point out that a person should have had an abortion.
I believe the Poster was referring to what they would have said to the Cashier, not YOU.
Get over yourself.
Better to tell the manager why you were leaving everything there. The cashier won’t do anything.
Hey ocean, you’d be surprised. Really, you would. There are more people with instant BS to offer than just you.
I left off the money quote from that dweeb..."After all, he doesn't have much of a life."
Fake story. The mother just wants attention.
I don’t read it that way.
I think the poster directed that mean spirited, intolerant remark towards Mears.
Hoax. The incident never happened as described.
“I think the poster directed that mean spirited, intolerant remark towards Mears.”

Thank you, that’s how I felt too——but I was just going to drop it.
Sometimes arguing is just an exercise in futility.
.
You’d be amazed. People with children who have Downs get comments like this frequently.
Then why don't you click on the link in the article, go straight to the mother's blog, and tell her yourself that you think she's making the story up about her child?
Well, we’ll have to wait for the OP to respond.
I didn’t see it that way.
If I’m wrong, I will Post an apology.
I didn’t read the article though, I have overheard some very judgmental expressions while in the public regarding not having a baby for different reasons. People can be cruel while thinking they are doing something so good. We have a culture today in which everything has to be almost perfect before the item can be wanted, babies included.
Gullible guy says what?
