Grubered Again! Fifth Video of Liberal Mastermind Surfaces
The PJ Tatler ^ | November 14, 2014 | David Steinberg

Posted on 11/14/2014 9:33:12 PM PST by 2ndDivisionVet

This time Republicans are stupid, per the architect of perhaps the worst legislation in American history.

He switches it up this time, showing that he is not only the precise embodiment of the far-left, Woodrow Wilson-style mastermind who believes it’s his moral duty to lie his sub-mental followers towards a better life, but that he is also the precise embodiment of the far-left Woodrow Wilson-style mastermind who can bedazzle his sub-mental conservative opponents with his theoretical intellect.

From watchdog.org:

In the 2011 video shot by TrueNorthReports.com and sent to Watchdog.org on Thursday, Gruber appears before the Vermont House Health Care Committee to present recommendations for a universal, publicly financed health care program. The recommendations were part of the 2011 “Hsiao Report” submitted to the Legislature by economist William C. Hsiao and co-written by Gruber.

As Gruber sits listening, the committee chair reads a comment from a Vermonter who expresses concern that the economist’s plan might lead to “ballooning costs, increased taxes and bureaucratic outrages,” among other things.

After hearing the Vermonter’s worries, Gruber responds, “Was this written by my adolescent children by any chance?”

The remark was met with uproarious laughter.

First they ignore you, then they laugh at you. It continues:

Contrary to Gruber’s snarky insult, the comment was not written by an adolescent.

“It was actually written by a former senior policy adviser in the White House who knew something about health care systems,” said John McClaughry, a two-term Vermont state senator and adviser to President Ronald Reagan in the 1980s.

McClaughry, who wrote the comment in an op-ed weeks before the 2011 committee meeting, told Vermont Watchdog he did not know Gruber made the condescending insult. However, he was aware of other videos discovered this week in which Gruber boasted of writing deceptive policies to trick “stupid” American voters.

“No one should trust this man. … Based on the rest of the stuff that’s come out on the videos, nobody can trust this guy. He has no use for transparency, he thinks people are stupid, and he’ll do anything to get this thing through and pocket his $400,000. That’s not in the interest of the people of Vermont,” McClaughry said.

Watch the video on the next page.

To to be most effective they need to release these one by one much more slowly.

you let the general public get over it, and then you started up again.

They need to Breitbart this insect.

I have written the MIT press office to ask whether they think Gruber represents what their standard of integrity and ethics, and if so, to issue a press release proclaiming this, and if not, to answer why he is still employed there. No response yet.

Published on Jul 25, 2014

Voters got to know Jonathan Gruber in 2012 when the Obama campaign put the health care policy wonk forward to shut down ObamaCare attacks from Republican nominee Mitt Romney. President Obama was so eager to play up Gruber’s role as a chief architect of ObamaCare because Gruber had been a chief architect of Romney’s state-level health law. Elevating Gruber allowed the campaign to deliver his lines with greater crack: “The core of the Affordable Care Act or Obamacare and what we did in Massachusetts are identical," says Gruber in one campaign ad. While Gruber may have helped neuter Romney’s ObamaCare attacks, he may end up helping to neuter the law itself thanks to a video unearthed by free-market think tank the Competitive Enterprise Institute.

Gruber, an MIT professor who has become a Democratic health care talking head, also gets paid for talking to industry groups about ObamaCare. In one 2012 speech, Gruber talked about the provision in the law that has state governments administer enrollments, including subsidies. “I think what’s important to remember politically about this is if you’re a state and you don’t set up an exchange, that means your citizens don’t get their tax credits,” said Gruber, a MIT professor, in a speech two years ago. Why is that problematic? Because it directly contradicts what the administration argued in court about a lawsuit that could be “devastating” to ObamaCare because it would end the subsidies paid to enrollees in the states that did not voluntarily comply.

The preferred talking point for pro-administration groups has been to dismiss the subsidy gap as a clerical error, not an intentional policy. It goes like this: Congress meant to provide a way to work around non-compliant states, but didn’t get the wording right. It was, in the words of one administration insider deployed to knock down the court decision, a typo. And who was that insider? You guessed it: Jonathan Gruber. This matters not because it is an embarrassing deception for an academic to be caught in, but because it suggests the falsity of the administration’s claim that this was a glitch and not a feature. The administration was eager to highlight Gruber’s role in order to shame Romney, making it hard now to suggest that he was some peripheral figure. Whether this matters in the expected Supreme Court decision is a matter for the legal eagles to consider, but from a messaging point of view this is a Krakatoa-sized eruption.

The plan pretty plainly was to do on subsidies what the administration has tried to do on Medicaid expansion: pressure governors who do not comply and create talking points for Democratic candidates. It’s just that so many states refused to set up their own ObamaCare shops, including those with supportive governors. The rest of the actual glitches in the law and technology made even some liberal governors opt out and kick the can back to Washington. If the White House can’t argue publicly that this is some silly technicality it goes straight to the heart of the main problem with ObamaCare and voters: they don’t think it works.

Rat boy, Professor John Gruber, not knowing he was actually confessing on video to embezzlement while calling the people he tricked stupid is priceless….

This piece of garbage , that brags, gets a thrill off of committing felonies, lying to the public, tricking well-meaning people, etc….. needs to fired, arrested and tried for Embezzlement. The University that he works at should be warned by the congress that it will lose federals including scholarships, grants, loans and any other funding…. if they do not get rid of this parasite off their payrolls immediately. He defiantly owes the U.S taxpayers all the money he was paid (I believe it was in excess of 400k a year…. this should include all medical, insurance, vacation days, etc…) IMO.

What an officious, self serving, ass.

Yeah, the adolescent part was an allusion to the dishonesty employed in serving this pile-0-crap up with outright lies and obfuscation, designed to fool every class of American

Mitt Romney would have been a better president?

Oh LOL!

***Massachusetts, since the late 1990s, had been receiving special Medicaid funds through a waiver to fund care for populations the program traditionally didn’t cover. In 2005, President George W. Bush wanted to end that funding, worth about $350 million. But Kennedy, working with Romney, put together a deal to keep the funds and then some by expanding Medicaid and providing subsidies to help low-income people purchase private insurance. The Bush administration signed off on that deal, giving us Romneycare, which then gave us Obamacare.***

Gruber, et all contrived a scheme to ril off Federal Tax, who now foot the bill for RomneyCare®

This guy has been a lying sack 0 schietzel from the get go.

One wonders if his nefarious morals are employed at MIT.

Where have these videos been for the last 5 YEARS? Why are they suddenly dribbling out NOW? Seems like they’ve let it out just to laugh at us after our so-called wins in the elections.

Have we elected anyone at all with the courage to fight back, to try and save what’s left of the country? Or will the Dems continue to smash us down while talk radio and Fox news blabs us to death, narrating our destruction? So far the Republicans seem business as usual. Wimp-a$$es.

Something is off here. What the heck is really going on?

I am so sick of these pompous Sheldon Coopers that have nothing but theory which has little correlation to real life while they insist they know how we need to live.

but i also think the press cnn in particular are doing an uber gruber because they want to obfuscate this:
“I think what’s important to remember politically about this is if you’re a state and you don’t set up an exchange, that means your citizens don’t get their tax credits,” said Gruber, a MIT professor,
because that is the issue the scotus may be reviewing.
