Latest dispatch from the "dissent is patriotic" is dead front: Howard Dean has accused people who don't share his political views of being "authoritarian people who fundamentally don't believe in democracy."

Poor Howard, who declared the times to be very "frightening and disconcerting," made his astounding accusation on today's Up With Steve Kornacki while attempting to explain the Republican sweep on the statehouse level.

What they are angling for is to criminalize conservative speech.

Democrats are violent thugs. All of them.

He's got some inflexible opinions. I could say the same of some folks here on the FR.
Perhaps that's human nature.

Poor Howard is very frightened. Republicans are authoritarians who don’t believe in democracy! Be-very-afraid ping to Today show list.

When did he become so inflexible? Was that always his nature?

Hey Dean, we have here what we call a REPUBLIC. Look it up if you don’t understand what that means.

It depends on what your idea of democracy is. In the case of Democrats, it’s an all-powerful government capable of taking everything others have to give them everything they want.

—I’m one of those —I believe as did the founding fathers that “democracy” leads to mob rule—a constitutional republic ,as Ben Franklin famously said is what was organized —and we are hard put to keep it-—

ME to Howard Dean:

“Democrat Party Liberals are the Arrogant Fascists Elites who arrogantly believe that Americans are stupid an must be lied to so that they can be controlled for their own good”.

There how’s that you ignorant piece of AFE shiit?

Honestly. I can’t turn around without some new Democrat plan to run my entire life.

Smoking bans, what I can drink or eat - and at what size, religious offenses that I am supposed to put aside for the fads of diversity, what I am allowed to believe in science, what car I should drive, what I should be allowed to say in public, in what manner I should be allowed to defend myself in my own home...

The Democrats are the party of fascism, intolerance, and bigotry.

He's right, though. I believe in a limited Constitutional Republic with elected representatives, state representatives, and a judicial branch and an executive branch working with AND against each other to provide checks and balances. I don't believe in a system of government wherein 3 wolves and a lamb vote on what's for supper.

Count me in as one who opposes the kind of democracy he envisions.

There is a time to be inflexible and a time to not be. It all depends on your ability to wisely discern between truth and error, right and wrong, good and evil, etc. Some things are gray and flexibility is wise to consider. But that is not true of everything.

Dean is a radical and unwise thinker who wouldn’t know the truth if it bit him in the bum.
