Hopeless.. Like the Russian high-brows who embraced communism in the USSR. When they outlived there usefulness, they thought that, if they believed really, really hard, they would be spared, right up to the moment, in the alley, when the commissar said, ‘Hand me that bullet I dropped and put it in the chamber for me.’
The immigrants coming in to the USA now are replacements for the drones who are wising up and leaving the democrat party. Some idiots, though, will never get it. Union members, bureaucrats, permanent dole recipients, and of course their families. Blacks, Latinos, gays and feminists. These can be counted on all the way to the hammer and sickle being installed on the flag.
I don’t think the Latinos are going to embrace Dems to the extent blacks have; those coming here to work don’t want to simply subsidize older Americans and the lazy/unproductive. In my area they have displaced many blacks in the workplace, and they don’t do that to live the same ghetto existence.
Naturally, those coming for the freebies are a lock for the Dems, but even they are in a low-profile race war with blacks that can’t be fun.
