I wish it were that easy. But media forces have already decreed anyone who even mentions the BC to be "a birther" and you know how crazy we all are that believe zero was born anywhere but Hawaii.Political strategy:it's not important its everything.

..............

HOw's everything in Denver.I went fishing Thursday for a half day and caught ten snook and lost a big unknown....

That’s exactly what I’m suggesting. Make things so hot for everyone in the White House that congress can get the things done that we sent them there to do. Put a little fear into their butts to stimulate them into both doing their jobs and stop forcing insane regulations on the country.

"Now is the time to put the severely defeated President out on a limb by himself and the Keystone pipeline is the way to do it."

I agree, but for an entirely different reason. We all know that Obama is a complete ego driven narcissist. This means he is extremely insecure, and covers it up with his bluster and ranting. When exposed and defeated, he will crawl back into his cocoon with Michelle and Valerie, to hear repeated soothing cries of "It's the Teabaggers fault".

BUT, he will also fear to try such tactics again. If he is defeated with a Keystone veto override, he will fear to try such a move again.

It’s not a birther issue, it’s setting guidelines for “future” presidential candidates. There are ways to threaten hearings without the problems you suggest even though we know the media will be screaming and screeching all the time.

It’s cold and snowy in Denver. You should be here to enjoy it all. We’ll have ice fishing pretty soon too so you’d fit right in. You DO own a coat, boots and gloves, don’t you?

Right. At least getting rid of Harry Reid takes the lid off of that. I believe he prevented Congress from doing its job for the past 8 years he’s been in charge. What Reid did was make the Senate a democratic party organ. In other words, politics trumped his allegiance to his institution.

Those days are over in January.

The two questions are A) Wha twill Obama and Reid do in November and December and B) Will McConnell be political ENOUGH, (in counter to Reid’s too much, when he needs to vigorously rein in an Executive branch that’s been allowed to stomp all over the Legislative branch)?

-No doubt his PR staff will take full credit for doing so.-

They have that part of the equation down to a science. Oil production is way up because of drilling/fracking on private lands, while Obama and the DC herd stifle production on federal land. Still, they claim credit for production being Way Up---it's in spite of, not because of.

I agree with your fears on McConnell and others in the new leadership. Time will tell. I do know there are numerous GOP Senators who plan on demanding answers to agencies overreaching and the rules and regs they are arbitrarily imposing on citizens.

This upcoming congress is going to be a test of PR and how the GOP can present it to the media/press and public. The GOP really does need some PR and communication help.

FOX “News” with Wallace pumps the DNC sheet
purporting the GOP is going to “shut down the government”.

Over and over, Wallace says it.
Over and over, Wallace defends RomneyCARE/ObamaCARE
blaming the GOP for “shutting down government”.

Wallace attempts to separate Gruber from Romney,
under whom, the crooks began their statist lies.

That said, both Sens.-elect Tom Cotton, R-Ark.,
and James Lankford, R-Okla. were GREAT
(and repeatedly interrupted by Wallace).

Sen elect Lankford, R-Okla.

These guys are new and full of P&V! Appropriately guarded in their comments, but sounding every bit as conservative as most FReepers.

Y’all might want to watch the FNS second segment’s round of interviews today. It’s a breath of fresh air.
