To: Morgan in Denver

Right. At least getting rid of Harry Reid takes the lid off of that. I believe he prevented Congress from doing its job for the past 8 years he’s been in charge. What Reid did was make the Senate a democratic party organ. In other words, politics trumped his allegiance to his institution.

Those days are over in January.

The two questions are A) Wha twill Obama and Reid do in November and December and B) Will McConnell be political ENOUGH, (in counter to Reid’s too much, when he needs to vigorously rein in an Executive branch that’s been allowed to stomp all over the Legislative branch)?

I agree with your fears on McConnell and others in the new leadership. Time will tell. I do know there are numerous GOP Senators who plan on demanding answers to agencies overreaching and the rules and regs they are arbitrarily imposing on citizens.

This upcoming congress is going to be a test of PR and how the GOP can present it to the media/press and public. The GOP really does need some PR and communication help.
