The Islamic State extremist group released a video on Sunday purporting to show the aftermath of the beheading of US hostage Peter Kassig, triggering an international outcry.
The video shows a masked fighter clad in black with a severed head lying on the ground that he claims is that of Kassig, a 26-year-old US aid worker captured by militants in Syria in October last year.
US President Barack Obama later confirmed the death in a statement offering condolences to the family.
And the man was supposedly a convert to Islam as well, yet ISIS didn’t seem to care.
As you can see, political correctness is often deadly.
There is no way to ‘coexist’ (to quote a misguided bumper sticker) with barbarism of this kind.
Maybe when ISIL starts beheading, it will get 0’s attention.
There are two kinds of Muslims:
Muslim radicals who want to cut your head off, and moderates who want the radicals to cut your head off!
If there were even ONE TINY SECT of people who claimed the label “Christian”, who indulged in this type of behavior, we would ALL be rounded up and executed.
Or we might be rounded up and executed anyway...just because.
Exactly right.
I agree fully.
And, would this be happening if we hadn’t left Iraq before the job was finished or the peace was certain?
Kassig was former Special Forces. Nothing could redeem him of that in their eyes, unfortunately.
He can’t be tired, he doesn’t DO anything. Must be bored. Po’ baby. Yuk.
Perhaps they’ll nick somebody he cares about. Fat chance, he’d just leave them to rot. Just the kinda critter he is.
To bastardize an old truism, the moderates will stop thinking it’s ok when it starts being them. Odd how the enablers of violence are always among the first under the blade, history’s weird that way.
Quite true. Anyone who says the 2nd Amendment is irrelevant is ignorant to the fact it’s all that keeps the left from getting violently pushy.
The first time ISIS went offensive, it should have been reduced to a bloody smear and pink mist. Do you suppose anyone learned a lesson concerning delayed action? Nah.
One of my students was studying the Bill of Rights in Civics Class.
We had a little conversation about it:
Me: What’s your favorite Bill of Rights Amendment?
6th Grader: Oh I like the First! What’s yours?
Me: I like the 2nd.
6th Grader: That one????Why???
Me. Because, without the second, you have no way of insuring the first.
6th Grader; You know...you’re RIGHT about that!
Well, there were campaign promises to fulfill. Can’t reneg on action that will weaken the situation over there...
