Train Wrecks, Lies, and Videotape
The American Spectator ^ | November 17, 2014 | David Catron

..... The “father of Obamacare,” as he was known in his salad days, inadvertently acquitted nearly half of us with his reference to “the stupidity of the American voter.” The professor’s condescending comments can only apply to those people who actually believed the empty promises our President made on behalf of his health care “reform” law. A large plurality of the voters always knew that Obama, his congressional accomplices, and creepy little hirelings like Jonathan Gruber were lying to us..........

......For its part, the White House is now denying that Gruber played a significant role in designing the health care law. In fact, on Sunday morning, the President himself reiterated this transparent lie as follows: “The fact that an adviser who was never on our staff expressed an opinion that I completely disagree with in terms of the voters is not a reflection on the actual process that was run.” The President evidently believes the reporters traveling with him are also stupid. And he may well be correct in their case. Not one of them asked how such an unimportant adviser got into the White House meeting during which the deceptive “Cadillac Tax” was concocted.

Nor did any of them ask Obama how such a bit player managed to get so heavily involved with his DOJ in the IRS subsidies case, King v. Burwell, that the Supreme Court has recently taken up. As Sam Kazman of the Competitive Enterprise Institute pointed out last month, “Gruber has been cited in every single previous government brief in King, and in the government’s major filings in Halbig.” Oddly enough, however, he is missing from any Obama administration filing made since his incriminating videos began appearing. Apparently, the government lawyers are under the impression that the Supremes are just as dull-witted as Gruber finds the voters........

.....Obama is now denying Gruber played a significant role in designing Obamacare: “The fact that an adviser who was never on our staff expressed an opinion that I completely disagree with in terms of the voters is not a reflection on the actual process that was run.”

Obama also evidently believes the WH press pack is also stupid......he could be right....b/c not one reporter asked how such an unimportant adviser as Gruber got into the White House meeting during which the deceptive “Cadillac Tax” was concocted.....w/ Obama present...

=====================================================

LET'S CONNECT THE DOTS---The salient point is this: Gruber acting as an independent researcher is one thing---but Gruber consorting w/ many people in govt figuring out ways to lie in order to dupe the tax-paying public is a CONSPIRACY.

POINTS TO PONDER:

<><> (1) WH sign-in sheets show Gruber went there at least nineteen times.

<><>(2) Gruber, himself, talked about Obama being in the room when the Cadillac tax was invented.

<><> (3) Based on his Obamacare experiences, Gruber took tax dollars from several states to set up Obamacare exchanges....and earned millions of dollars doing so.

<><>(4) Nancy Pelosi is caught on-tape citing Gruber as a reliable source.

<><> (5) Gruber was there when Hillarycare was developed.

<><>(6) Another Gruber confession involved a conspiracy w/ Teddy Kennedy's govt fraud---manipulating Medicare for some $500 million----to secretly finance Romneycare.

<><>(7) A former adviser to then-HHS Secy Kathleen Sebelius told the NYT Gruber was on-board whie the govt was formulating the plan.

<><> (8) According BarackObama.com 2012, President Obama's official website, Jon Gruber "helped write Obamacare....w/ specific quotes from Obama tying Mitt Romney to ObamaCare...saying that "RomneyCare" was the model for Obamacare.

<><> (9) The Congressional Budget Office Effectively Used Gruber’s Model to Score Obamacare.

I'M SURE VALERIE KNOWS (/SNIX)---Obama is downplaying Gruber's role, claiming he had no part in passing healthcare.

But if Gruber was NOT the Obamacare architect---then Gruber took money under false pretenses and should be prosecuted for govt fraud. He took tax dollars from the feds and state govts "posing" as an expert.

TAXPAYERS DEMAND CONGRESS GET ANSWERS WRT GRUBER'S CASHING-IN ON THE BACKS OF "STUPID" TAXPAYERS

Four U.S. states and the federal government (read taxpayers) have padded Obamacare architect Jonathan Gruber's wallet to the tune of $5.9 million since 2000, including millions connected to his work on the Affordable Care Act.

We need investigations---to see how our tax dollars changed hands---and landed into Gruber's pockets. The disdainful, preening Gruber was paid tax dollars to spin his web of lies...and to reiterate his contempt for taxpayers who are footing the bills.

Even more disturbing is the massive, multi-billion-dollar slush fund the self-serving Gruber hid from "stupid" Americans in Obamacare. Gruber made dam sure it was kept hidden from us stupid taxpayers.

=========================================

The Untraceable $8 Billion ObamaCare PR Budget---truly govt fraud at its finest. Egged on by Pelosi, Democrats slavishly voted for Obamacare by an historic straignt-party line vote. But not one Democrat told Americans about Obamacare's Section 4002---which mandates an $8B untraceable fund to "promote" Obamacare (apparently b/c Boobamba had so little confidence in his signature legislation).

THE PAYOFF--WHO GETS THE MONEY? In 2010 Taxpayers are extorted $500 million, in 2011, $750 million, 2012, $1 billion, 2013, $1.25 billion, 2014, $1.5 billion, and, in 2015 and on, $2 billion

<><> Where is all that money going?

<><> Was cashing-in the incentive in getting the thing passed.

==================================================

Taxpayers demand to know ---- why Gruber/Obama/Pelosi didnt reveal that Obamacare contains a multi-billion dollar slush fund?

Exactly who is cashing in?

The sound of West Wing wire-transfers to offshore banks is almost palbable.

Well, I suggest the eight bill is chicken feed compared to what the whole enchilada is going to cost, but who’s quibbling. The recent revelations are enough to kill the bill before any more is discovered. Hangings following public trials to begin January 1 2015.

PS, it shouldn’t take more than for or five hangings to get the Congress back on a Constitutional track.

but then one considers the reality of trying to dispense justice in an unjust environment.

Thanks for the link.

In summation, the W/S article documents the making of a widespread govt conspiracy that involves collusion, govt fraud, misuse of public office, misuse of government offices, abuse of govt positions, falsifying official documents, perhaps money laundering, illegal wire transfers, forgery, tax evasion, extorting taxpayers, theft of govt monies,.....plus an entire range of crimes and felonies.

Well-documented are multiple conspiracies by government insiders to collude in sub rosa deals to dupe the public into legislating Marxist redistribution schemes and sell them as "healthcare."

Clearly, Gruber had influence over the CBO, the White House, and individual members of Congress, alike.

It's hard to overestimate his importance; Gruber's role was central to the efforts of President Obama and his Democratic allies to shove Obamacare down the throats of an unwilling citizenry.

============================================

One can only imagine the derision and deprecation of Americans in the halls of Congress, and in the WH, as Gruber reprised his "stupid Americans" act to an appreciative audience of lock-stepping Democrats.

Parsing:

The fact that an adviser who was never on our staff

True. He was a contractor, not a staff member.

expressed an opinion

True, even though his opinion was based on facts in evidence.

that I completely disagree with in terms of the voters

True. If he really thought the voters were stupid, he wouldn't have needed to lie and lie so frequently.

is not a reflection on the actual process that was run.

Half true. The actual process they really used was to lie to the Democrat Senators and Congressmen who voted in favor of the bill.

Indeed, as this debacle plays out, it would be very interesting to find out who comprised the "appreciative audience" at Herr Gruber' s many speeches where these revealing comments were made. A number of the forums may well have been at public universities, and sign-up lists may be FOIA-able.

This is just the tip of a very big iceberg. We have hundreds of Colleges and Universities, publicly financed, with more professors who would agree with Gruber than those who do not.
Most conservative faculty members are those who have been driven out of the colleges and universities. Sadly, the taxpayer pays for most of them.

This is an indictment of the press as co-conspirators, nothing more than a propaganda arm of the Administration.

THE WALL STREET JOURNAL

Another ObamaCare Deception

By Tevi Troy, Wall Street Journal - November 17, 2014

As Jonathan Gruber knows, the health-care law is a tax machine. The ‘Cadillac’ levy will hit the middle class.

Mr. Gruber also noted that the real impact of the tax would fall on individual Americans: “We just tax the insurance companies, they pass on higher prices that offsets the tax break we get, it ends up being the same thing. It’s a very clever, you know, basic exploitation of the lack of economic understanding of the American voter.” In another video that surfaced on Friday, he explained that the only way to get rid of the tax preference for employer-sponsored insurance was “by mislabeling it, calling it a tax on insurance plans rather than a tax on people, when we all know it’s a tax on people who hold those insurance plans.”

Our study bears this out. While the tax is designed to be paid by companies, employees or consumers will see significant increases in costs. These cost increases will be passed on in several ways. Large employers who are subject to the excise tax in 2018 will pay an average of more than $2,700 per employee a year from 2018 to 2024. As Mr. Gruber admits, and basic economics confirms, this cost will be passed on to consumers or to employees in higher prices and lower compensation.

Employers, being rational actors, will not want to pay these taxes and will reduce their health-care benefits to limit their potential exposure to the tax. Doing this will cause employees to be hit by the excise tax in at least two other ways. If employers increase taxable wages to compensate for reducing the value of their plans, then employees will be paying more in taxes for the same compensation levels, and more after-tax out-of-pocket expenses for their health care.

From 2018 to 2024, the excise tax could cost 12.1 million employees an average $1,050 in higher payroll and income taxes a year, if employers increase their taxable wages as they reduce the cost of health-care benefits. Alternatively, if employers only reduce the value of their offerings without increasing wages and salaries, these employees could see up to a $6,150 reduction in their health-care benefits and little or no increase in pay.

Mr. Troy is the president of the American Health Policy Institute and a former deputy secretary of Health and Human Services.

Republicans must not give any quarter to the adolescent Progressive punks who lie and strut in their exercise of power and who have been found with their hands in the cookie jar.

Turns out we were right - and the network news boys (ABC, CBS, and NBC) were wrong. Not only were the network boys wrong - they actively attempted to shut down debate so Gruber, Obama's and democrat lies would stand.
