Jonathan Gruber and Obamacare undone by the ‘stupid’ people
Washington Times ^ | November 17, 2014 | Tammy Bruce

New media make it difficult for elitists to deceive

"..........“Weinstein’s scoop went around the world in a hurry. American Commitment, a conservative 501(c)(4) founded by Americans for Prosperity veteran Phil Kerpen, published the clip on its YouTube channel. Kerpen promoted it through tweets, which quickly became live coverage of the media outlets discovering Gruber.”

This is why the political establishment hates the Internet — it allows regular people, individuals, to change the world. This in itself presents a danger to tyrannical regimes everywhere, and to American administrations that rely on keeping you in the dark.

It must have been rather surprising to Mr. Gruber and all his “Masters of the Universe” friends to be undone by a few “stupid” people. But then again, when you’re distracted by the beauty of your own navel, you may tend to underestimate the people you’re lying to.

The American people aren’t stupid, but the mainstream media work very hard at keeping us ignorant. They’re failing at that, too......"

Nice timing----on Fox News Sunday, Juan William covered for Obama's Grubering....said Washington passes laws using similar Proctor and Gamble packaging techniques to sell underarm deodorant. ....

And then Brit Hume set him straight in 30 seconds

If Proctor and Gamble makes any claim in an advertisement that can be shown to be false, they will very quickly be taken to court, where they are exposed to large monetary losses if it is proved that they made untrue claims.

This on top of the fact that no one is forced by law to buy underarm deodorant.

I wonder if Juan Williams knows where the money to pay his large salary comes from? Probably not.

THE WALL STREET JOURNAL

Another ObamaCare Deception

By Tevi Troy, Wall Street Journal - November 17, 2014

As Jonathan Gruber knows, the health-care law is a tax machine. The ‘Cadillac’ levy will hit the middle class.

Mr. Gruber also noted that the real impact of the tax would fall on individual Americans: “We just tax the insurance companies, they pass on higher prices that offsets the tax break we get, it ends up being the same thing. It’s a very clever, you know, basic exploitation of the lack of economic understanding of the American voter.” In another video that surfaced on Friday, he explained that the only way to get rid of the tax preference for employer-sponsored insurance was “by mislabeling it, calling it a tax on insurance plans rather than a tax on people, when we all know it’s a tax on people who hold those insurance plans.”

Our study bears this out. While the tax is designed to be paid by companies, employees or consumers will see significant increases in costs. These cost increases will be passed on in several ways. Large employers who are subject to the excise tax in 2018 will pay an average of more than $2,700 per employee a year from 2018 to 2024. As Mr. Gruber admits, and basic economics confirms, this cost will be passed on to consumers or to employees in higher prices and lower compensation.

Employers, being rational actors, will not want to pay these taxes and will reduce their health-care benefits to limit their potential exposure to the tax. Doing this will cause employees to be hit by the excise tax in at least two other ways. If employers increase taxable wages to compensate for reducing the value of their plans, then employees will be paying more in taxes for the same compensation levels, and more after-tax out-of-pocket expenses for their health care.

From 2018 to 2024, the excise tax could cost 12.1 million employees an average $1,050 in higher payroll and income taxes a year, if employers increase their taxable wages as they reduce the cost of health-care benefits. Alternatively, if employers only reduce the value of their offerings without increasing wages and salaries, these employees could see up to a $6,150 reduction in their health-care benefits and little or no increase in pay.

Mr. Troy is the president of the American Health Policy Institute and a former deputy secretary of Health and Human Services.

LOVE THIS BLOGGER WRT THE BRITT/JUAN VIDEO: "What undergirds the entire premise of Progressivism is a master-race mentality. They believe in the creation of a utopian society that they control completely. This is why they are secretly in favor of eugenics. It is the driving force behind the radical pro-abortion movement. The founder of Planned Parenthood herself was an avowed eugenist whose express goal was the elimination of those who are 'less fit' according to her."

" Leftists are evil genocidal masterminds who disguise their goals under layers of false compassion and caring. They are creepy as hell! Normally it is an unspoken rule that these freaks do not reveal their intentions under any circumstances. However, Gruber just couldn't contain himself. Trust me, there will be consequences. "

"King Barry will make sure that Gruber tells no more tales."

Apropos of this gem (posted by you):

CLINTON GRUBERING---Bill is already laying the groundwork for Hillary---hoping "stupid Americans" will ignore the details.

"We had 100 times as many people move from poverty into the middle class," Bill Clinton told an appreciative audience during a cocktail hour hosted by POLITICO, marking the 10th anniversary of the Clinton Presidential Center. "This shows the importance of policy," he continued. "We can do this again.”

Clinton plumb "forgot" MIT Professor Jonathan Gruber crunched those numbers for the ever-ambitious Clintons....basing the numbers on the Clintons' knee-bending abortion worship. Read on.

World Net Daily reported November 14, 2014
BY Jerome R. Corsi / FR Posted by Cincinatus' Wife

NEW YORK – Obamacare architect, Jonathan Gruber, (exposed for his frank admissions that passing Obama's signature legislation required lying to "stupid" Americans)......published a paper during the Clinton administration observing that legalizing abortion saved the government $14B in assistance to economically disadvantaged mothers, including African Americans.....and lowered crime.

MIT economics professor Jonathan Gruber argued in his Clinton paper that without the 1973 Roe v. Wade decision, “marginal children” would have been born to many poor mothers. Gruber said statistics show these aborted children would have been 70 percent more likely to live in a single-parent family, 40 percent more likely to live in poverty, 50 percent more likely to receive welfare and 35 percent more likely to die as an infant.

Economist Steven D. Levitt and journalist Stephen J. Dubner in their bestselling 2005 book, “Freakonomics,” relied on MIT Professor Jonathan Gruber’s work to argue that legalizing abortion was responsible for an approximately 50 percent reduction of crime in major urban centers in the early 1990s. more at wnd.com

-------

Yet, in his bought and paid for "sales job," Gruber was eagerly lying about the ACA to combat voices of truth:

".....“Two days [after the Senate bill was unveiled], Gruber published a paper entitled ‘Impacts of the Senate High Cost Insurance Excise Tax on Wages: Updated,’ claiming that the excise tax would result in wage hikes of $234 billion from 2013 through 2019…. ..."

".....“On November 27, following the release of the CBO score, Gruber issued another report saying the Senate bill would reduce non-group premiums (Gruber is one of the CBO’s academic advisors)…. "....

Source: There are a lot of nuggets in this that show how Gruber lied and how the Democrats and the Media circulated the lies.

The only thing about the Gruber revelations is that it only confirms to those of US who paid attention what we suspected as to what’s going on.

The GOPES (gop elite statists) running the 2012 campaign could have and should have gone through what was in AHAC (Obamacare) but after demonizing instead of working with TEA groups by simply by acknowledgeing their concerns.Didn’t. And the Republican’s lost insisting on playing under the “demographic” rules laid out by the democrat (in name only) socialist party.

The GOPES conducted a 2012 political campaign with two hands tied behind their back because of Romney’s connection with Mass’s state Health Care wreck. Now the GOPES are busy resurecting Romney. Amongst others and are now beating the bushes for their type of acceptable candidates.

Obama will be out of office and Hillary will be occupying the White House when this all hits the middle-class with big-time taxes and it will have been too late to do anything but join the masses fighting for more government handouts to try and survive.

I have been thinking lately of some of the 80’s fashion that I used to wear, mainly jumpsuits. (mid to late 80’s pre-marriage and kids). Jumpsuits are making a small comeback.

To use a potty, the entire jumpsuit has to, basically come off. No way would I wear a jumpsuit now. I think when I used to go out all decked out in a royal blue (my fave) or other jumpsuit, I only went into the parlor room to check on make up.

Wonder what Gruber’s going rate now is with the Leigh Bureau, The World’s Preeminent Lecture Bureau Since 1929.

His quick header bio:

Leading Health Economist, behind both Romney’s and Obama’s reforms
Professor of Economics, MIT

A deep understanding of healthcare reform from one of its principal architects.
