Probably won’t pass then either since it requires 60 votes to pass. There will still be enough Democrats to stop it. Even if it is passed, Obama will veto it and then you’ll need 67 to override.
But, the GOP still needs to bring the bill up at least once a month just to embarrass the Democrats.
With 54 Reps, there will be at least 6 Dems who will vote with them to get to 60. If the Dems who voted today for the pipeline, vote the same way in January, there will be 63 votes for it.
