RE: Paul Ryan’s idea of fiscal conservatism is to slow the rate at which the national debt grows but continue deficit spending.

He was interviewed about it and knows that this is a problem. However, he explains that you can’t suddenly cancel all deficit spending in one shot without causing a huge and massive uproar (and probably cause the GOP to lose seats ). That would not be politically palatable.

Therefore, his plan is to do it slowly and steadily.

At least that’s how I understand his strategy as he espouses it.

The only problem is, There is no such thing as a 10 year budget, any projections are pure fantasy. Considering the vast majority of the moocher and looter class will never vote Republican, who cares if they get mad when the FREE STUFF goes away??
