OK let’s say you have a son and he was a fireman. Call him and tell him that we, as a nation, think firemen make too much and we don’t really like paying all of this money. There must be a shortage of firemen. So we need a legal immigration program to let in 500,000 fireman into the country every year from all over the world. This is good good for the country, don’t you know. Just suck it up, maybe retrain yourself.

That is true on a macro scale. What I was stating was that "very limited" legal immigration for the "most talented" is a positive, and will improve the competitive nature of the United States in a competitive world by having the best talent.
