The laws of supply and demand work if they are let work. If there are high wages in profession A then the solution is NOT importation, but let Americans here train themselves in Profession A. So let me get this straight. Say there are a 1000 people who live in other country who possess the talent to make remarkable technological breakthroughs, and would like to make these breakthroughs as Americans. Result : American companies and / or government gets the associated benefit either financial or in military superiority.
