GOP hammers case against Obama on immigration

WASHINGTON (CNN) —Opponents of President Barack Obama's plan, which makes sweeping changes to the nation's immigration system by use of executive order, focused their criticism on the legal case, saying Obama has overstepped the boundaries of his authority and is ignoring the will of the people.

-snip-

Kentucky Sen. Rand Paul said he "will not sit idly by and let the President bypass Congress and our Constitution."

"President Obama is not above the law and has no right to issue executive amnesty. His actions blatantly ignore the Separations of Powers and the principles our country was founded on. The President has said 22 times previously that he does not have the power to legislate on immigration," Paul said in a statement.

"His actions are not only unconstitutional and in defiance of the American people who said they did not want amnesty in the 2014 elections, but they are also unfair to every immigrant who has come to our nation legally," Sen. Ted Cruz of Texas posted to his Facebook profile.

The attorneys general in Texas and Oklahoma both said they were planning lawsuits challenging Obama's authority to overhaul immigration rules without the approval of Congress.

In Texas, Attorney General Greg Abbott, who is weeks away from becoming governor, said in a statement he is "prepared to immediately challenge President Obama in court, securing our state's sovereignty and guaranteeing the rule of law as it was intended under the Constitution."

Some Republicans were working on ways to block Obama from implementing his immigration order. Sen. Lindsey Graham of South Carolina posted on Youtube his case against the President's proposal.

"I will try to defund the effort for him to go at it alone," Graham said in a video post Thursday night. "We will challenge him in court."

And in the Senate, Jeff Sessions, the ranking member of the U.S. Senate Budget Committee and a senior member of the Senate Judiciary Committee, as reported by USAToday stated:
"The great task before the nation now is to resist this imperial decree and return control of this nation to its own citizens — as our Constitution established."
Oh?!? And how, pray tell, does Sen Sessions suggest that the nation resist this imperial decree and return control of this nation to its own citizens?

Elections, assuming they are actually held, are not until 2016.

“I swear I want to move to Texas.”

My biggest regret in life so far may be that I was not born in Texas*.

*except for Austin, which, technically, is not part of Texas.

Blacks are going to be the main collateral victims of Obama's anti-Black amnesty.

OBAMA’S UNCONSTITUTIONAL AMNESTY TO MIGRANTS THAT ARE LIVING ILLEGALLY IN THE U.S.A.

After destroying the best health care system in the world, Obama is determined to grant wide amnesty to foreigners living illegally in U.S. If Obama wants to make the U.S. into another banana republic, it seems he is well underway to reaching his goal.

The Republicans must make it perfectly clear that Obama has declared a merciless war against the American workers and the middle class of America. There are 92 million of able Americans out of the work force because they cannot find employment and Obama wants to legalize and give work permits to over 11 million illegal aliens allowing them to bring here the rest of their families. In other words, another 25 or 30 million that either will compete with Americans and legal immigrants searching for scarce jobs or are going to be added to welfare, bankrupting Medicaid and the food stamp system as well as ruining even more the quality of the public schools with the massive infuse of hundreds of thousands of children without speaking English to already overburdened schools systems.

Blacks are going to be the main collateral victims of Obama's anti-Black amnesty. Black Americans are already suffering higher unemployment since Obama took power. Obama’s new class of protected immigrants will take over their jobs and Blacks will be forced to share their welfare checks and food stamps with them

Obama sold American sovereignty and jobs to illegal aliens for votes

One things that the Republicans can do is for the House to pass a resolution reminding that the granting of work permits contrary to the law is illegal and that those who do so or cause others to do so will be subject to prosecution at a latter date.

There is a constitutional remedy for a HIGH CRIME like refusing to faithfully execute the laws of the country.

The "red" States are the only buffer left to stop anarchy.

The republic was already doomed in 1913, after the Federal Reserve Act and the 16th & 17th Amendments. The USA has been running on fumes and phony IOUs ever since. This looks like Rome in the 3rd century AD.

To carry out his directives, Obama needs people and those people will be subject to arrest if they are caught violating a court order.

So Obama can smirk and scoff all he wants but he won’t be able to do a thing if there’s no one to follow his commands.

Judges have a lot of power, more than most people realize until they see it up close.

Governors and State Attorney Generals have standing in federal court. Members of Congress may not and likely do not as they have powers available to them elsewhere.

No it doesn’t take months. It takes a few days and less than an hour to get a temporary restraining order or a preliminary injunction.

But Graham may not be able to do anything as a member of Congress. He may not have standing.

But Governors and State Attorney Generals do have standing and three of them (Wisconsin, Oklahoma, Texas) have already voiced they are prepared to get into court immediately.
