TEXAS LEADERS READY TO FIGHT AFTER OBAMA'S EXECUTIVE ACTION
Breitbart ^ | November 21, 2014 | by SARAH RUMPF

AUSTIN, Texas -- Texas leaders are united in opposition and ready to battle President Barack Obama over his unilateral attempt to protect millions of illegal immigrants from being deported. In a televised speech to the nation Thursday evening, Obama announced he was issuing a series of executive orders to enact immigration reform, and will likely soon face a lawsuit from the State of Texas, as well as other states with Republican leadership.

As Breitbart Texas reported, Obama declared that he would be taking "actions that I have the legal authority to take as President" that would liberalize the rules for work visas for highly skilled graduates and entrepreneurs as well as allowing millions of illegal immigrants to avoid deportation through "deferred action" if they had been in the United States more than five years, have children here who are citizens or legal residents, register with the government, pass a criminal background check, and pay back taxes.

Governor-elect Greg Abbott, the outgoing Attorney General who will serve in that role until January, vowed that Texas would respond with "immediate" legal action. "President Obama has circumvented Congress and deliberately bypassed the will of the American people, eroding the very foundation of our nation’s Constitution and bestowing a legacy of lawlessness," said Abbott.

"Texans have witnessed firsthand the costs and consequences caused by President Obama’s dictatorial immigration policy and now we must work together toward a solution in fixing our broken immigration system.

Following tonight’s pronouncement, I am prepared to immediately challenge President Obama in court, securing our state's sovereignty and guaranteeing the rule of law as it was intended under the Constitution."

As a result of the last election, I believe the Republicans hold 30 state governorships and control 66% of the state legislatures. Time for the states to reassert their sovereignty and constitutional rights and powers.

There was an old (bad) movie about the second Civil War that began with a President acting like this. I wonder if that is where the Libs are getting their ideas.

Go to war, Texas!

I’m going to scream at my state government here in Michigan to get to the line as well.

Texans, pass a law like Arizona did, that allows your state to make good-faith determinations regarding the unconstitutionality of a federal act and legalize nullification.

BUT... be genuinely prepared for financial independence from the feds. If not, it will just be show.

Is it any coincidence that Obama chose, “Renegade” to be his Secret Service code name?

“Renegade: The Making of a President”
by Richard Wolfe

Before the White House and Air Force One, before the TV ads and the enormous rallies, there was the real Barack Obama: a man wrestling with the momentous decision to run for the presidency, feeling torn about leaving behind a young family, and figuring out how to win the biggest prize in politics.

This book is the previously untold and epic story of how a political newcomer with no money and an alien name grew into the world’s most powerful leader. But it is also a uniquely intimate portrait of the person behind the iconic posters and the Secret Service code name Renegade.

I hope Texas Governor Greg Abbott will do more than challenge Obama’s lawless actions in court. I hope he will issue his own executive orders and set his own priorities, effectively nullifying Obama’s power grab and preventing illegals from in any way benefitting from the evil actions of this White House. Abbot should prosecute those who employ illegals, whether for residential yard work, for farm labor, or at a business.

Abbot should find ways of nullifying every aspect of FedGov’s demands to accommodate criminals who have entered our country illegally. It’s time to end this at the state and local level if the thug in our White House can so brazenly refuse to do his job. If Abbot succeeds, others will follow, and we can drive these criminals out of 30 or more states. They may not self-deport from the USA, not with Obama coddling them, but they will flow from the free states to the states that want to pay for their social costs. That’s close enough for now.

For FY 2012 Texas generated about $219.5 billion to the 2.5 trillion collected nationwide...

That amount was up from about a $198 billion the year before...

Extrapolate the amount of increase from that rate, and you’ll prolly see what could be projected for this FY...

Texas was #3 in FY 2011, and #2 in 2012...Right along with California and New York...Illinois usually comes in about 4th in the last few years...

I have to find the data in what Texas gets from the Feds during that timeframe...

I’m sure it is substantial, but it is no where near what we put into the whole dish...

Not sure there are many, if any, states that get back more than what they give to Uncle Sucky...

Until a majority of people pay attention to this issue, it will continue to be like a form of prostitution, and figure out that the pimps in elected office are getting the real perks and most the money anyway...

And even then, most people don’t care anyway...

34 states would be directly addressing the root problem that is the 17th Amendment which eliminated the representation of the States as sovereign entities in the Senate.

it is a roundabout way of asking if secession or equivalent is financially anywhere near within feasibility, should the need and opportunity present themselves.

One big distinction between a state and the federal government is that the feds have a fiat currency printing press. actually the federal reserve has one and the feds could be considered from a course grain perspective to be monolithic with the federal reserve. that is one advantage that individual states do not have.
