What of DHS underlings who implement an order they know is in violation of the law?
“I was just following orders.”
This is how the people get used to authoritarian government.
For rjsimmon, whatever power SecState has, comes from congress.

For rjsimmon, whatever power SecState has, comes from congress. Not quite. SecState is the executor of the President in all matters pertaining to foreign policy:
- Grants and issues passports and visas
- The Secretary of State retains domestic responsibilities that Congress entrusted to the State Department in 1789.

Nobody is going to do a damn thingI fear you are correct. There is an oligarchy in Washington D.C. that cares nothing about the working or middle class. They can stay in power by expanding the Federal government and increasing the strength of the welfare class.

Every executive administrative agency and every lower federal court exists at the pleasure of congress.

Every executive administrative agency and every lower federal court exists at the pleasure of congress. Congress has ceded a good majority of their powers to the Executive. This is one of them.
