Mexican president hails Obama's immigration reform

Mexican President Enrique Pena Nieto hailed US President Barack Obama's sweeping steps on immigration, saying they were "most important measures taken in several decades" and would allow families to stay together.

Obama's plan, unveiled on Thursday, eases the threat of deportation for some 4.7 million immigrants, many of them Mexican, who are in the United States without legal documents.

"I want to publicly recognize the President of the United States for yesterday's announcement," Pena Nieto told a conference in Mexico. "These measures bring relief to principally Mexican immigrants."

"Those who will benefit will be migrants of Mexican origin who have been living in the United States for years ... This is an act of justice which recognizes the great contribution of millions of Mexicans to the development of our neighbor."

There are about 11 million undocumented immigrants in the United States. Obama's plan would let some 4.4 million who are parents of US citizens and legal permanent residents and who have been in the country for at least five years remain in the country temporarily, without the threat of deportation.

An additional 270,000 people would be eligible for relief under the expansion of a 2012 move by Obama to stop deporting people brought illegally to the United States as children by their parents.

Pena Nieto said he had instructed Mexico's consular service to help those Mexicans who wish to take advantage of the reform.

Obama's Republican rivals have vowed to fight his immigration push.

Congress could pass a bill making the EIC applicable only to US citizens.

Of course the boy is happy. America just accepted all his criminals, gangbangers, rapists, alcoholics, wife beaters, murderers and poverty. All of the non-white Hispanics can now be exported to America. His garbage and trash is now our problem thanks to the Kenyan Emperor.

MIT's Goober is right. Americans are "stupid".

“Bush got his wish...”

::::::::

Yes he did but it started back with Vincente Fox who sucsessfully exported a huge portion of Mexico’s poverty across our southern border under the wing of Bush’s Mexican favoring. Fox had his Manchurian Candidate...and by default, so does Obama. Mexico has no welfare system, smarter than us. If you don’t work, you starve. So Nieto is very happy to keep exporting his poverty for the U.S. taxpayers to support while taking America’s wealth with little or no tax liability. All the while, sucking America’s treasure in medication, education, food stamps, and other handouts -—

According to Mexico`s Ley General de Población, Article 123, illegal aliens can be fined and sentenced to up to two years in prison.
The Mexican immigration agency is the INM—Instituto Nacional de Migracion). But it is not the only agency that enforces immigration law. The Mexican military helps. And so do local Mexican police. In fact, by law, all Mexican police, regardless of unit or level, are required to enforce immigration law.
Article 34 even explains what kinds of immigrants Mexico is looking for:

“The Department of the Interior may establish for the foreigners who enter Mexico the conditions that it deems appropriate with respect to the activities to which they will engage in and the place or places of their residence. It will take care thusly that the immigrants shall be useful elements for the country and that they will have the necessary income levels for their subsistence… and of the persons who are under their economic dependence.”

So if you are an immigrant and end up relying on their charity, they can kick you out for the good of their society.

“The Department of the Interior may deny to foreigners the entrance into the country or a change in immigration status for any of the following reasons:
I. When there is no international reciprocity.”
“II. When the national demographic equilibrium demands it.”
III. When the quotas referred to in Article 32 of this law don`t permit it.”
III. When the quotas referred to in Article 32 of this law don`t permit it.”
VII. If they are not physically or mentally healthy in the judgment of the health authority, or are prevented by other legal orders.

So even Mexico reserves the right to deport immigrants who break the law, when the demographic balance is upset or from nations that don’t let Mexicans immigrate.

There are restrictions on land ownership for foreigners.

The Mexican constitution has a particular and well-known article which deals very clearly with the status and expectations of non-Mexicans in Mexico. It`s the famous Article 33:

Article 33—Foreigners are those who do not possess the qualities determined in Article 30. They have the right to the guarantees of Chapter I of the first title of this Constitution, but the Executive of the Union has the exclusive right to expel from the national territory, immediately and without necessity of judicial proceedings, all foreigners whose stay it judges inconvenient. Foreigners may not, in any manner, involve themselves in the political affairs of the country.

So foreigners in Mexico can’t get involved in politics. It is illegal for LEGAL immigrants to Mexico to protest anything.

We should learn from Mexico and copy their immigration laws.

His ‘’criminals’’, all of those you just mentioned, comprise about 99% of the population of Mexico. And now they’re coming here.

I’d be happy too if I were El Presidente Nieto because my stupid neighbors to the north took in all of my undesirables, who in turn will work and send money back to my country. He gets a double bonus at our expense. In many ways I don’t even blame the man. Our political class does nothing to stop the wave of illegals. If we only enforced our immigration laws to the letter then Nieto would be forced to confront his nation’s problems but as long as we take in his human debris he doesn’t have to do a damn thing!

Just… Wow!!!

FU Mexican President Enrique Pena Nieto!!!

Do you NOT have any shame at all???

It is only because your broken country is a third world cesspool of corruption and crime that millions of your citizens have to risk their lives and liberty to violate the immigration laws of the USA to seek a better life. ARE YOU PROUD OF THAT FACT, YOU A$$HOLE??? Your country is an absolute freaking disgrace. Yet you have the audacity to praise the illegal and unconstitutional action of Obama in a failed attempt to distract attention away from you and your failed government.

I don’t blame the people of Mexico for fleeing to the USA. I blame their failed country government.

Quote from a person who posted an earlier message on this board: "The schools have no choice when it comes to providing K-12 education. SCOTUS made that mandatory with Plyler vs Doe in 1982. Here in Fairfax County, Virginia we pay $104 million a year for ESOL instruction for 31,000 students."

*******

My post: That 1982 Supreme Court ruling is the reason we need Constitutional amendments like the following to try to control illegal immigration:

1. "School attendance: Only citizens, legal residents, those with special student visas can attend elementary, high school, and colleges in the United States."

2. "One parent must be a citizen before a newborn child is given automatic citizenship."

3. Felony: We must finally get very serious and declare that crossing the border illegally is a felony. It sounds mean to call it a felony, but we must do it, if we will ever have any chance of controlling our borders. Having the same illegals crossing our borders over and over is wrong, wrong, and wrong.

Illegal immigrant parents come to the United States for the wonderful benefits that their children can receive, like a quality education and great health care. Can you blame them for making the dangerous, long trip with their young children, or sending their children by themselves with the hope that the United States will automatically let them stay?

I don't understand how a child can illegally cross the southern border one day and automatically be eligible to enroll in public school the next day. That is wrong.

According to the illegitimate usurper Obama regime, jumping the border is not even a crime:
"...crossing the border is not a crime per se. It is civil." - Janet Napolitano
