That kind of stuff was developed for South Africa...lots of kidnappings there.
My South African friends never drive alone and all passengers and driver have a chambered handgun in their lap at all times. They prefer sedans with fold down back seats because they keep AR platforms in the trunk under white towels with a minimum of 10 30 round mags per rifle.
