Easily believable based on the careless things newbees (as well as those who should know better) do with guns.

OTOH, I’m withholding final judgement until it is officially determined that it really happened that way.

My favorite was the wife who wanted her cable TV installed by her husband who did not have a drill. She went outside and tapped on the wall where she wanted the coaxial cable to go thru the wall, while he used his 357 magnum to shoot a hole to run the cable. After going thru the drywall and sheathing, it put a perfect sized hole to run the cable. Unfortunately it also struck his wife right between the eyes and out the back of her head too.
