Yep - DACs get time off “without pay” (delayed pay) which can worry some but most are fine. The “essential” services continue, contractors show up and hold the fort down (a number of DACs have to show up because contractors are on-site), then the “shutdown” is over and all the DACs get paid for the time off. All the while the govt/media is wailing and carrying on about the “shutdown” for the news. HUGE crisis. /s

Problem is, they find a way to screw those who did nothing wrong. Social Security, Medicare, Veterans...
It’s like when cities run short because they are spending too much on Liberal crap, so they refuse to fund libraries, the police, fire departments...
They know the public will sucker for it, and agree to higher taxation.
