I prayed for you and your family. What a time to be facing this type of crisis. Otoh, God has, literally, every resource in the universe. The prayer of faith does not go unheard or unheeded. One thing that helped me during my darkest hour came from a book I read by Joanie Yoder called Finding the God-Dependent Life. She said,
“Praise Him now, for you will assuredly praise Him then.”
What she meant was, when you beseech God for deliverance, He will deliver you. After He does, it takes no faith, though certainly gratitude, to praise Him. But God-pleasing faith praises Him even in the midst of crisis—praises Him for the deliverance that is coming, and that is promised.
If that makes sense? It really helped me. Something about praising God for what He is going to do on your behalf, even though you haven’t seen it yet, gives real strength and hope.
Meanwhile, I will continue to pray.
I once confessed to my Mom that I didn’t know how to give praise in dark times. I wanted my praise to be sincere and sometimes just couldn’t find it.
She (very wise woman) said, “Give praise for the help that’s COMING.” I think it’s the same thing you’re saying. It completely changed my way of thinking.
