Sad but true. Sobering to contemplate the result.
The Democrats have been pushing for a single federalized first responder union that would unionize police all over the country into one Union. What this would do, besides spread the costs of inner city law enforcement contracts to small towns and unincorporated area, the union would control the hiring. In many cases the small towns would be forced to contract with the city police to provide services and would lose all control of hiring. Members of the police would no longer have a vested interest in the community where they work and could be sent to fill positions anywhere. Their plan is to also make all promotions by seniority only.
The federal first responder Union would be just like Chicago in the thirties, where you didn’t get a job without going through the mob boss.
