Dissapointed in Paul.
To what ends should we put “boots on the ground”?
Who are we helping?
Who is our ally there?

Agree. We don’t need boots on the ground. We need a good unconditional surrender like we had from Japan in WW2.

Maybe we would use massive firepower like we did in WW2. They need to get the message.

No boots needed. The terrorists goal is to make us slowly bleed to death and this is done by crippling our economy. No, we need to be cost effective in this war that will never end. A drone campaign sounds good to me. McCain and Rand are warmongers.

Perhaps most surprisingly, Paul’s resolution will allow for limited use of boots on the ground “as necessary for the protection or rescue of members of the United States Armed Forces or United States citizens from imminent danger [posed by ISIS]… for limited operations against high value targets,” and “as necessary for advisory and intelligence gathering operations.”

Sounds pretty specific, limited and reasonable to me. Not that I agree with Paul that the president needs a DOW to do any of those things, but at least he is being consistent with his past position that it does require in.
