Unbelievable: Why didn't the governor order the National Guard to do something instead of sitting there and watching Ferguson burn through the night?

It was a horrible mistake to wait until the dark of night to announce the decision instead of doing so when there was still delight. Horrible.

Perhaps to let Ferguson (and other future Fergusons) learn a lesson about the value of trashing your ‘community’.

Much truth there, but it seems to me that the trouble would have extended through the night anyway, and why exacerbate the whole situation during working hours when respectable people are trying to do their job and then get home.

I have to disagree with this bit. They waited until everyone that works, or was at school was home before announcing it. Could you imagine what it would have been like if the rioters shut down I-44 during rush hour, or if a school bus of kids were caught in the middle of it? A lot of people that don't live in Furgeson have to drive by/through it daily.

Best to time it so those folks are in danger while the FUBs (Feral Urban Blacks) s@&$ in their own bed.

Seems to me they wanted the working commuters safely, shoppers and students home well before announcement.
