In a sane world, the cops would be issued a shoot looters on sight order.
Looters are the least of your worries. If they got their hands full of a TV, they ain’t shooting you.
Honestly im surprised they still have as many officers as they do. In their demands against Darrin Wilson will soon enough come new political restrictions that will further endanger the officers lives and compromise the security of Ferguson and all other such cities.
It thus seems entirely logical that officers concerned about the safety of their work environment may look to go to other more friendly cities that will let them do their job in a safe way.
That is what mayor Richard Daley of Chicago did in the sixties.
