It did...the prosecutor took great pains to include these facts a couple of times in his announcement last night...graze wound on RT hand with gunpowder imbedded in tissue, Brown's blood and dna in the vehicle and on Officer Wilson.
IMO, the "issue" became the lies of Brown having had his hands up and being shot in cold blood.

They imagined the worst case scenario in terms of how the officer reacted and why, but then they ran with it as though it was a foregone conclusion. That kind of attitude towards law enforcement and our justice system can get a person killed and they’d have no one to blame but themselves. Michael Brown himself was a legal adult and apparently, did not and could not have appreciated the gravity of his situation.
