Was Mr. Head or Michael Brown, Sr. the father to Michael Brown, Jr.? You keep referring to Mr. head as the father. He was not. Mr. Head was the STEP-father. Michael was his STEP-son that didn’t even live with him.

You dont have to be a biological father to be close to a step son. Yes, others close to this have acted MORE responsibly. Theyre different people though and youd expect some difference in reaction.
