Don’t underestimate Louisiana political corruption. The early voters are ALIVE- the dead voters tend to pile in at the last minute. She isn’t going to be unemployed without doing EVERYTHING she can.

I think the Ferguson riot last night put a cap on whatever little might have remained of Mary’s chances for a respectable showing.
If the Ferguson riot had taken place 4 weeks ago there wouldn’t have been one democrat election win anywhere in the country other than in the heart of the bluest of the whackiest blue states.

LA is now a Red State.
Katrina changed everything. Naw Awlins is no longer enough for a Democrat to win statewide.
Her fellow Democrats wouldn’t help her out with the Keystone bill. They’re flushing her down the toilet.
And Obama is enormously unpopular in LA and she voted for every one of this Administration’s policies in the last six years in office.
That’s the kiss of death.

Mary got 18% of the white vote. Kay Hagan got 33% of the white vote in her loss in NC. Dems are lucky to get 30% of the white vote in the South. Romney won the white vote 59% to 39%.

From where I’m sitting in the suburbs of New Orleans-and from what I hear- I wouldn’t be too sure. I HOPE and PRAY so-but this is a professional Louisiana politician and the family dynasty is at stake.
