Nixon is term-limited (he will have served 2 terms by 2016), he was on the Dems' short-list for VP candidates, and there was the possibility that he could have ran for POTUS himself, which would have given the Dems' a somewhat younger choice (he's 58) and someone with real executive experience governing a state in the heartland.

Ferguson, however, has completely ripped apart any chance he had at national office to shreds. MO will go hard Republican in 2016, you can bank on it.

Since 0bama lost MO twice I think we can count on them going Republican again in ‘16.

As far as the National Guard goes, what were they doing last night? What is the point of having them there if they aren’t going to quell all that violence and mayhem. Seems like a lot more of them are needed.
