Full title: CEOs representing over 200 major American companies threatening to pull their support of Obamacare after legal problems arise with 'wellness' programs

Did they let the interns and congressional pages write this law?

Premiums have increased, but the dirty little secret of Obamacare is the new “observation” provisions. It used to be if you were admitted as an inpatient to a hospital, Medicare and your insurance company would pay the inpatient rate, and your out of pocket expense would not increase. Now, under Obamacare, you are considered inpatient only if you have been in the hospital for 2 nights. If you are in the hospital less than 2 nights you are considered as an outpatient. Your out of pocket costs has increased greatly.
The other point that I would like to make is that the government did a study a few years back, and found out that in the long run, smokers cost the system much less, because smokers die young. A non smoker may live into their 90s, and run up other medical costs that a smoker who dies young never incurs.
The best thing to do regarding these wellness programs is to basically lie. You cannot lie about your weight, but you can lie about your smoking, drinking and exercise habits. I got a questionnaire in my wellness packet asking me psychological questions-such as, have you ever felt depressed?. Sure, we all feel a little down once in awhile, but if your write that down as a response, you will carry that profile with you forever. Just lie.

I can understand the “lie” part. The Obama government has no issue with selling its lie of the super costly universal healthcare run by poorly run government corporation. And lefties love to blame big corps like big Oil & suddenly forget the government is one of the biggest corporations!!

Not only do you have to lie about your lifestyle..you will need to make sure that you aren’t giving away more information with your credit card or loyalty card purchases. The Govt will have all that info as well.
With a quick click of the mouse on your SSN they will have everything about you..medical history..credit history..irs..purchase history etc…cell phone records..vehicle records..including your gps track.
If we don’t put a stop to it somewhere our privacy and with it our freedom is gone.

Amen brother... that is, unless you want the State Police bringing a No-Knock raid to your house with the intent to shoot your dog, dislocate your daughter's shoulder, Tazer your wife, pistol whip you and confiscate your firearms, knives, bows, boomerangs, baseball bats, shoelaces, and any stick longer than 17" long.

The title should be: 200 whining CEO’s who helped give us this abomination are a day late and a dollar short.

I was reading that some companies put pedometers on their employees, which tracks their activity level. I found out you can cheat these pedometers by attaching them to your dog’s collar.
One of many ways to fight back.

Back when I was with GE, as a joke I bought a pedometer to see exactly how much running around like a chicken with it's head cut off I had to do on a nightly basis at the diesel locomotive shop... it was more than any of the other Technical Directors thought.

There were times where you had no time to even stop and rock a piss...

In regards to loyalty cards, I would cheat that system by using a fake name and phone number. Most loyalty card users dont actually carry the card, but just use a phone number. Pay with cash.

“A bipartisan provision in the 2010 healthcare reform law allows employers to reward workers who participate and penalize those who don’t....”

Bipartisan? I don’t think so. However much we may want to denigrate Republicans in Congress for a variety of reasons, not one single Republican, in the House or Senate voted for Obamacare.
