John Kasich felt religious responsibility to expand Medicaid and implement Obamacare

Kasich justifies his “very conservative” decision to expand Medicaid and implement Obamacare…

I mean, that’s what we’re supposed to do in life, right? Help our neighbor. Help people…that’s my whole philosophy in the state.

Medicaid is another one we did…making sure that people could get health care.

There’s a, kind of a big faith-based component of the conservative movement…so, to me, that’s very conservative.

On issue after issue, Kasich is severely conservative.

Guns

Kasich received an “F” rating from the NRA after voting for Bill Clinton’s 1994 Assault Weapons Ban (AWB).

Spend your own freaking money to satisfy your religious beliefs John, not mine.

Governor Kasich, Christ was neither a statist or a collectivist.

Our hospitals stood to lose a lot of money in disproportionate share reimbursement funds thanks to Obamacare, just like everyone else. This is federal money used to offset the cost of treating indigent people whom we are not allowed to deny services to due to lack of financial resources. What's more, this is money that we, like everyone else, had been receiving for years up until Obamacare changed the rules. The disproportionate share money that we lost would have simply been redistributed to blue states that accepted Medicaid expansion. Our loss would have been their gain so to speak.

So in order to offset that loss in order to prevent hospitals from having to make drastic cuts to their budgets, he expanded Medicaid and Ohio will now receive funds that we were already receiving but this time it will be called medicaid matching funds, not disproportionate share funds.

By doing this, he prevented hospital budgets from being cut which would have decreased the quality of care all Ohioans receive in Ohio hospitals and would have cost jobs in the healthcare sector which would have further reduced state tax revenues at a time when we are just crawling out of the budget deficit hole and we really didn't get anything new, we just didn't lose what we were getting all along.

These are Kasich's actual NRA ratings btw:

-1982-A – NRA PAC contributed to campaign

-1984-A+ - endorsed

-1986-A-

-1988-no grades given - NRA PAC contributed to campaign

-1990-no grades given - NRA PAC contributed to campaign

-1992-B-endorsed - NRA PAC contributed to campaign

-1994-F - NRA PAC contributed to campaign

-1996-C+ -1998-B+ endorsed – NRA PAC contributed

I disagree with him here, and I’m sure I disagree with other things he has done.

Hitler?

You know, that is so overdone.

Here’s what he did...just so everyone knows...

Gov. John Kasich – Ohio’s Own Obama?
http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/3111567/posts
Quote:
Ohio’s legislature – lobbied by grassroots groups the press acknowledges only to sneer at – stripped Medicaid expansion from the state budget and even passed language explicitly forbidding it.
Kasich responded by line-item vetoing the Medicaid expansion ban, and then unilaterally expanding Medicaid when several more months of emotional blackmail didn’t work.
The legislature wouldn’t grow government the way Kasich wanted, so Kasich took a page from Obama’s playbook and pretended the huge policy decision was an executive matter.
End quote

And it is possible that Kasich has violated Ohio Constitution - although the article below is related to something else, there’s a link to the Ohio Health Care Freedom Amendment which 66% of Ohioans voted FOR.

He’s a piece of work like most globalists - he is playing the game.
Excerpt from a post
Remember, RINOs are not leaders. They are merely elected officials who have compromised themselves for the sake of securing personal gain. This moral compromise is a severe weakness.
On the other hand, the greatest kind of strength is moral strength. Members of Congress still serious about principle—those who haven’t sold their souls—have an overwhelming advantage over the rest of them.

If you complement a solid moral foundation with the right strategy you can’t lose.

“Kasich is married to a pro-abortion liberal who is turning him more liberal every day.”

Good to know. I don’t trust anyone who marries a liberal. If they don’t have enough principle to pick their mates or friends well, then they won’t make good decisions with my money.

As an Ohioan, I’ve never voted for Kasich and never will. During his re election campaign, I tried to verify some of the claims in his ads. But couldn’t find much. Ohio supposedly has millions more than before he was elected. I can’t help but wonder if that’s because he accepted money from the Feds.
