Landrieu was trying to hang Cassidy with some news about his signing off on doing some work for LSU medical dept. that he didn’t really do, yet collected payments from them. I didn’t like his answer to the question. He brought up about her flying around the state campaigning on the taxpayers’ dime. He then muttered something about how what he did benefited others, while what she did was only benefitting herself. When she was bringing up the topic, he started drinking water, which I always interpret as a sign of weakness.
From a medical viewpoint, he is a cardiologist and is one of a few doctors capable of doing liver transplants in Louisiana.
That is what he meant by what he was doing at the former charity hospital helps many people, as opposed to Mary Landrieu flying around on the taxpayers' dime.
