Of course not. Why should the democrats let the republicans kick the can down the road when the republicans will only be stronger later?

Sure, go ahead and try it. Get some mileage out of it. But understand that ultimately the republicans will have to pass a full bill or be blamed for a shutdown.

I know that many here on freerepublic would look forward to a shutdown but it is a losing effort for the GOP. A government shutdown would break the promise that the republicans made during the last election to keep the government open.

Shut the government down or fund an out of control government? I believe the American people said shut this out of control government down!

Really, the GOPe is scared they will get blamed for shutting down the government? Who cares if the Republicans get blamed, they got blamed for the last shut down and they just won in a land slide election!

Sometimes our representatives need to grow a spine and lead our Country, not sit around sucking the thumbs hoping no one blames them for anything!!!!!!!!!!!

I am long past caring about the GOP..let’s face it, they don’t care about us in the slightest..except when it’s “votin’ time. They only care about living the big life, on our dime. I personally would like to see the govt shutdown until a BUDGET is agreed to...a complete shutdown, no “protected programs”.. (The inability to recharge the EBT cards would make Ferguson look like a tailgate party)...bring it!
