True, I woke up to his tripe the morning of the Ferguson Grand Jury announcement. I wanted to reach through the television and strangle him.

Downtown Detroit doesn’t get all the power from one place. You can have 3 buildings in a row without power, then 2 with power followed by another without. The same set of buildings lost power last summer due to a substation fire. This one is the municipal power service.
Comerica park, Ford Field buy their power from DTE and have their own substations.

Years ago, I was in an Elevator at CPAC with Tom Delay and four Virgin Atlantic Flight Attendants.
The only person I chatted up was Tom Delay. LOL

“ancient infrastructure?”
That is what I was thinking. Known as deferred maintenance.
I like the one above that we have to wait for the wind to pick up speed again. Hahahahaha

Amazing.
I dont wish anyone the loss of electric power...with the possible exception of the Whitehouse...and a couple of other prime locations.

Liberals, politicians, and Obamafone owners.

My guess? It is potentially related to these upgrades / corrections to the deficiencies in the existing system...
That would be my guess. The new stretch of light rail right downtown just came online the day before Thanksgiving and my guess would be that its related to that.
As a Michigan resident, I can't help but wonder what the hell is going on in the liberal bastion of Ann Arbor. Their power goes out every time a cloud passes overhead. I'm over here in Jacksatucky county as they so snidely call it and our power almost never goes out.

While the good working people in Detroit are trapped in elevators or at work, it’s Jungle fever time for the any of the natives who loot and rob at leisure.
Let’s see what the wind reaps. It may make Ferguson look like a picnic or it may reflect the opposite. Anyway, hope someone has CCW at hand when police are minutes or fortnights away.
Good luck, Detroit. America’s watching and taking notes.
