That is what I would do.
Well, they did, and they committed crimes and need to go to jail.
I was 100% certain that the purported 2,500 documents would not be released, at least without a fight. As someone wisely said above, the IG’s statement is a confession that taxpayer data was illegally shared with the WH. Next we’ll see how corrupt the court is.
I believe most of the bad stuff we have seen all started in the Oval Office. Once the truth comes out—if it ever does— it will be ugly.
VP Biden made the same mistake when he said the Coke brothers did not pay any taxes a few months ago.
This goes deep and has great potential to bring the administration down in flames.
“This goes deep and has great potential....”
You’ll understand my skepticism, I trust.
The treatment that is needed is for someone in the GOP to stand up RIGHT THEN, upon the utterance, interrupt, and accuse the person who has made those statements that could only be made by having (illegal) access to those tax returns...of having knowledge of a felony.
If it turns into a set of hearings, held 7 months after the statement, in which the question of how “A” could know details of “B”s’ non-publicly-released tax returns; with witnesses and opening statements and subpenas and lawyers weighing in and “oops, I faked myself out” Issa asking Maxine Waters what size underwear she wears, then the whole thing goes into the blithering nonsense scrapheap pile of inaction.
This is the thing that the GOP does not and apparently can not do. They cannot climb on top of and preempt the procedure and the propriety. Meanwhile, for Dems, they can accuse the TP (for only one a thousand examples) of all manner of racism, of violence, and it doesn’t matter one whit whether the accusations are true or not. Mary Landrieu can make all manner of negative insinuations against her opponent Cassidy “where were you during Katrina” when he wasn’t even in politics but did, indeed, set up am empty Kmart as an emergency shelter for several dozen residents.
Since Bohner has taken impeachment off the table and portrays fighting Executive Amnesty as if Republicans would be ipso facto guilty of the sin of shutting down the government" for defunding Amnesty, Rinos are in cahoots and just as guilty as the administration for condoning their lawlessness. This is all-the-more true since Boehner has talked out of both sides of his mouth on this issue and is apparently negotiating with Pelousy to get missing Conservative votes to be filled by Democrats.
Traitors, you are, O Rinos!

Crime, Inc.
About as likely as impeachment.
So I will stick with my original comment.
Forget Garner and Ferguson....
Obama is at it again!
What do you expect torches and pitchforks to accomplish?

IRS Documents Connecting White House to Scandal Denied
The Internal Revenue Service (IRS) admits they found about 2,500 documents potentially showing that the IRS shared taxpayer returns with the White House, thus tying President Obama to the IRS scandal that targeted conservative groups, like Tea Party groups. As they did with Lois Lerners emails, the Obama administration is denying the release (I am surprised they didnt claim another hard drive crashed) of the documents, claiming the documents are covered by privacy and disclosure laws and cant be provided to Cause of Action, despite a promise last week to...
