Gloria Allred -- who reps some of the women accusing Bill Cosby of rape -- says she knows the statute of limitations has run out but she issued a challenge ... do "what's right" and fight it out in court, or ante up $100 million for an informal hearing where the women can prove he damaged them.
The famed attorney says what's in it for Cosby is that he can clear his name if he's telling the truth.

100 percent true about Gloria. It does not mean Cosby is innocent.

So why should he pay $100 million to help these women prove that he damaged them? That’s a no brainer for him.

Didnt know what to believe regarding all the accusations against Cosby... until now!Cosby may be a sexual deviant (and adulterer). He may have had sex with females who were underage at the time.
HOWEVER... that does not explain the circumstances the led to the sex part.
When you go into a private room with a Hollywood Star, and you have been taking drugs already, then you drink some alcohol, and then you don't remember what happened, BUT YOU KEEP COMING BACK... then I fail to see that it's rape.
More like prostitution as the Talent Agents (who knew what was going on) and the parents KEPT DELIVERING these young women to Cosby's door, allowing them to spend the NIGHT, ALONE with Cosby were really pimping the girls to him in hopes that one of them might 'make it big' if she got onto his show.
This goes on all the time in Hollywood, and Cosby is not the only 'user' and not the only one that drugged his aspiring starlets back then, or now.
It wasn't Cosby that was having sex with Corey Feldman.

maybe so..but, they should've filed charges then (persistently)..not 30+ years later..
they're case is (IMHO) is in recovered memories category.
My stance/opinion maybe unpopular, but there it is..

I read the name “Gloria Allred” and immediately I stopped reading the article.
Attorneys don’t always enjoy the best reputation and to some strong degree, it’s because of people like her.
To: BunnySlippers
As far as Im concerned Cosby is as guilty as they come.Sure. But do you think he's the only one ?
Do you think it doesn't go on today ?
Why did it come up now ?
I'm all for pursuing this case to find the truth, but is that what 'they' are after ?

It came up because Cosby is in the middle of staging a comeback. A perfect time to do it.
Rape continues by people today. It will never be eradicated.

Sure. Put it in front of a judge. He'll hear it, see that the statute of limitations has run, and dismiss the whole shebang. Then the judge will ask what Allred what could she possibly have been thinking.
Whole thing will cost about $5,000, if that.

Yeah, because its all about justice, not about the $$, right? [/s]
Cosby may well be a dirtbag, but paying people off for 20, 30, 40+ year old allegations reeks of a scam.
