Barack Obama poured gasoline on the flames today after a New York City grand jury decided not to indict the police officer who killed cigarette smuggler Eric Garner.
Obama made it sound as if the grand jury made the wrong decision.
“It is incumbant on all of us as Americans regardless of race, region, faith, that we recognize that this is an American problem and not just a black problem or a brown problem or a Native American problem. When anybody in this country is not being treated equally under the law, that’s a problem. And it’s my job as president to help solve it.”

Nope. Not buying any of it, except most governments are like lazy shakedown/protection rackets that want their cut.
Personally, I don't like the tats down the leg of that one 'cop' and he should be removed from the force for that, but tatted gang bangers are going to be in shakedown rackets.

The cop is in the wrong. The chokehold was banned. End of story. This doesn’t happen often, but I’m going to say that Obama was right in this particular case.

Yes except for the fact that New York city is a city run by liberals that have basically turned the cops into Gestapo shakedown artists who do nothing but collect and protect money for the city all day long. I grew up there and moved 2 years ago for that very reason, I couldn’t take it anymore. Sneeze the wrong way you get a ticket. The guy sold a single cigarette to someone for 50 cents and they send 4 cops after the guy. Why? Because tax crazed liberals care about nothing else but taxes, stealing money from the people solely to support their BS socialist programs. Oh yes, and if the cop loses the ticket in court, meaning if the defendant beats it, the cop loses a vacation day.

First I’ll state that I don’t know the details of the alleged police brutality concerning the case being discussed by this thread, neither do I about the law that Obama is talking about.
Next, while I agree with Obama in principle that people have a constitutional right to equal protections under the law, Obama’s problem is that the states have never amended the Constitution to make freedom from unreasonable police brutality a constitutionally protected right. So since the feds don’t have a constitutionally enumerated right to throw at this case via the 14th Amendment or other appropriately worded amendments, the feds essentially have to keep their big noses out of this issue imo.
So what am I overlooking?

I agree. Totally different than Brown scenario. This level of force was not warranted.
The real question is why Obama would incite blacks to violence? What does he gain in causing permanent harm to the black community?
I have heard of prison guards getting in trouble for that.
I don’t have a big problem with him selling the butts. Lets put it this way, I would not report him. But if I were a cop, my job would be to enforce the law.

I further believe that a—holes like Obama and deblasio will face a backlash over all the cop bashing.
Don't know what he is thinking, but I think he's separating them from whites to make them a sort of fighting force against (white) legality plus a solid voting block against democracy as we know it. In certain psychological theories, a "grievance collector" is a sick person. Obama seems to be cultivating grievance collection to create/enhance/protect a group that will become larger and more powerful against the rest of us.
Because nobody is talking about Amnesty, Benghazi, the IRS, or Gruber
