Krauthammer: Decision not to indict NYPD officer 'totally incomprehensible'

Charles Krauthammer said Wednesday on "Special Report with Bret Baier" that a grand jury's decision not to indict a New York City police officer in the death of Eric Garner, an unarmed black man who died in July after the officer placed him in a chokehold, is "totally incomprehensible."

"It looks like they at least might have indicted him on something like involuntary manslaughter at the very least," Krauthammer, a syndicated columnist and Fox News contributor, said. "The guy was unarmed, and the crime was petty as they come. He was selling loose cigarettes, which in and of itself is almost absurd that somebody has to die over that."

Tragedy and criminality are not synonymous. Big government is the root cause. Resisting arrest is the proximate cause. Cops don’t make laws or policy.

Grand Jury simply determines if case should go to trial.
There is every opportunity they might have been acquitted.
Even if found guilty, they still might not be sent to prison.
That would be lots of speculation at this point.

We are in agreement on all those points.

Dude, watch the video:

Then drink a nice, tall glass of ST*U.

I am not dishonest, you are completely irrational and highly annoying.

Good.

So then you can clearly see that he was never unconscious at anytime during the arrest.

No choke hold was used.

Case closed.

No indictment.

Rightfully so.

Goodbye.

I’ve already watched the video, and furthermore, I’ve already posted to this thread stills from the videos which clearly show a chokehold being applied. You just refuse to acknowledge the obvious, no matter what evidence is presented to you.

As I said before, the cop did a poor job of the blood choke, and would have been pulling across the wind pipe, instead of the arteries and veins with the bad positioning of his arm.

The video showed how to do it correctly.

OK.

Just categorize me with the grand jury that refused to indict.

Have a nice life.

That pretty much sums up my feelings about it. The only other thing is that all four cops did nothing when he complained that he couldn’t breath so if one is indictable then all are indictable IMO.

Would they support the arrest and choking of all the freepers who have said they will not comply with obamacare?

Of course. If you fail to comply you face consequences for your actions.

Be safe, obey and comply. Sign up today...Or else.

The story is that he had the heart attack in the ambulance en route to the hospital but I have to doubt that.

Using a kindle. Kindle autocorrect sucks. I know the difference between breath and breathe.

It looks more like a criminally negligent homicide to me.
I don’t think it was an intentional killing.

No answer to my question on your expertise in speech anatomy and physiology.

It takes a massive amount of air and strength to speak.
We are all used to speaking so we have no idea of all the muscles involved.
If this man was severely compressed by the police as you say he was, he wouldn’t have been able to speak.

That is a fact.

I think his heart rate was probably extremely tachycardic by the time he was taken down. A tachycardic heart requires more oxygen, not less. Tachycardia itself will cause difficulty breathing. Once the heart rate decreases, oxygen requirements should decrease as well and the difficulty breathing should resolve.

I had the banned choke hold demonstrated to me personally once. I tolerated it for about 2-3 seconds before I tapped out. I was able to squeak out a few noises but speaking was impossible because there was no air moving through my windpipe.

Holder does not care about race relations, holder and Obama are all about federalizing local police out of the hands of local citizens. No more elected sherrif. The race relations issue is ONLY about party power preservation.

BTW, notice how only ONE video is being played over and over. Where are all the other videos the grand jury observed?

Again I state:

Watch Krauthammer when he speaks on Fox news. Because he is partially paralyzed, you can visually see how much effort goes into speaking. How much air he takes in. How much his upper chest muscles have to work.

The dead guy’s throat and chest wasn’t as compressed as you state. He was able to clearly speak.

I will bet an expert in speech anatomy and physiology was questioned for the grand jury.

Yeah, Garner was faking it when he repeatedly said he couldn’t breath...Suspects resisting orders say that all the time. Some die some don’t.

Oh well...Pay your taxes, comply and obey.
