In response to a Republican bill that would block executive action on immigration reform, AFL-CIO President Richard Trumka issued the following statement:
Today’s vote is a shameful attempt by Republican leaders to roll back protections President Obama’s executive action will provide to millions of immigrant workers. Rather than advancing meaningful reform, H.R. 5759 would further exploitation and force our community members to continue to live and work in fear.
Republicans are only weeks away from controlling the House and Senate. Today’s vote shows that a Republican-controlled Congress will focus more on reversing progress than putting forward new ideas. The American people deserve better. Voters expect leadership like the executive action President Obama took to reform our broken immigration laws. If today’s vote foreshadows what Republican leadership will be for the next two years, voters will surely take notice—and action.

While dues paying I don't think requires citizenship, voting does. Since every amnesty up to this point has resulted in no additional votes for the party that enacted it, and in fact caused a decline in votes from the Hispanic voting group, I'd also have to say that's a loser as well.
Even California voted for English only education, cutting off benefits for illegals, and other measures to curb illegal immigration (which of course were overturned by federal courts...)
Meaningful reform would be to implement the same immigration rules as Mexico.
Trumka is a COMMUNIST criminal SUBVERSIVE and must be put behind bars ASAP.
